Anyone unable to adjust guidance volume w/CarPlay?

Hey. I know, first world problems. I am failing to figure out how to adjust the volume for things like Nav (Waze) guidance and text notifications. Super loud. ‘22 Limited. The manual says ‘turn down the volume’ which has no effect. Nejther does the volume on the phone. Thx!

I'll take a look, but am having the same issues with everything coming from the phone in terms of notifications, guidance (waze & google photos), etc. Odd. I can adjust volume for spotify, podcast, etc just fine.

You can adjust Waze notification volume within the app but not Siri and iMessage alerts. They are way too loud. The volume controls on the steering wheel should adjust this hit they don’t. Very frustrating.

I believe you adjust while the app is speaking.

Having the same problem with my Google maps too. Google claims I should adjust while she speaks but no dice. No options I could find in settings to adjust.

FYI this seems to have happened after android auto was integrated with OS instead of being a separate app originally.

Yeah there’s a disconnect between volume for apps that stream and alerts. Voice prompt volume in mapple is adjusted in app for example whereas apple music is just done as you’d expect.

Also some apps like Tiktok won’t let you adjust the volume. Neither on the phone or head unit (while the app is open)

I’m experience the same issue, but with Apple Maps. Adjusting the volume knob during the guidance instructions has no change on the volume. I don’t see any volume adjustment within the app either.

It used to be under Settings > Maps > Navigation & Guidance, but that off/low/med/high has been removed and the new “way” is to “use volume on device or car”

I have a 2022 SR5 Premium, so not sure if it’s the same as your limited, but here’s how it works on my stereo. Push menu button on stereo. Select setup > voice > voice volume > select a volume level 1 through 7.
