Anyone with iPhone 5S & 5th Gen ipod...connection issues

Finally RTFM(ok page 47-49) and realized up to the 4th gen ipod is 'supported'. Given it works intermittently(best via Bluetooth, occasionally via USB) , has anyone discovered a tried and true method or sequence to getting audio to play via iPod and their iphone to work for phone & internet?

I've had zero problems with my iphone 4 and my new 5s with getting it to connect to the truck. music and phone calls are no problem at all.

No connection issues, I have seen other issues.

I have a iPhone 5 with iTunes match and that combo seems to mess up the artist/album/song list royally. I can't press any of the shortcut buttons to jump up the alphabet ( ie the ABC DEF GHI ect. buttons) without it locking up the system. I have to turn the ignition of to get it to reset. It will also often list Item, Item, Item, ect in place of the names.

I have issues as well but I have 2 different Bluetooth connections at the same time. That appears to cause some issues for me. I have the Automatic (ODBII) connected to my phone and my phone connected to the runner. I use Spotify and sometimes it automatically connects and starts where I left off. Sometimes I get, BT device not found and have to restart the app.

Edit: I have an iPhone 5

Bluetooth ODBII device uses Bluetooth 4.0 so I can use that and be listening to music at the same time.

Mine goes in and out of connection all the time. I switch Bluetooth off every once and awhile because I can't stand it.

same here with a iPhone 5. turn off and on phone to correct it till the next day.
