Why is it Bernie or Hillary supporters find it necessary to protest Trump/Cruz/etc rallies, but not the other way around? Trump/Cruz/etc supporters simply stay away from the rallies, and are not causing problems.
Because he is promoting hatred, intolerance and, in some cases, violence. Which is dangerous in a way that extends beyond political policy. On what do you base your statement that there are no Trump supporters at dem rallies?
BTW he wasn't protesting, none of his signage was supporting either candidate. He was simply offering hugs.
I'll agree with you in terms of DJT, but that doesn't explain Cruz or Kasich based on what attention I've given the news lately. Sanders/Clinton supports seem to preach tolerance for everyone but they, themselves, have a hard time practicing their own teachings - there is no tolerance for people that do not think like them or agree with their policies. Disagree and they seem to want to shut you up or shut you down.

By countering Trump's violent speech with hate speech and violence of your own is hypocrisy at its finest.
Where is the hate speech and violence?
The rally didn't even happen in Chicago, and it turned violent anyway

Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told CNN that there were no reports of injuries or arrests at the event. He added that attendees were exiting the rally and appeared to be civil.
Examples? I think you will find it hard to compare quantifiably between the two sides. Even still, simply glossing over Trump like he isn't the number one candidate and then simply moving on and trying to equate dems/republicans ignoring the leading candidate on one side is a bit naive. Tolerance does not mean you have to agree with what is being said, or even like it, just don't punch, pepper spray, or otherwise physically attack the opposing view.
Seriously, where do you live?
Did you have anything to add to the discussion that isn't personal?
I would argue that Canada and the US have a unique relationship that is not really comparable to any other two countries. The course of events in our country, as well as the course of world events, are undoubtedly tied to what happens in the US.
I could give you many examples of people I know personally who's job and livelihood is tied to what happens south of the border, so yea, we do have some interest in how things play out. Can you honestly say if your job, career, or possibly entire industry could depend on the events happening in another country you wouldn't be watching with interest? I hope you consider yourself lucky to not be in that position.
Also, I think its only human nature that when constantly bombarded by these issues and debates on television, radio, internet, and even in person, to want to voice an opinion. Just as its only human nature to feel offended when someone goes out of their way to remind you that your opinion doesn't matter.
I have access to all the same news sources as American's do, I am on the same internet, I hear the same debates on the same issues. Do you really think that no one outside the US could possibly have anything of value to add to the debate? Especially in an election where universal health coverage and socialist ideas are on the agenda? No great ideas and nothing of value has ever come from outside the US?
Why do you feel the need to go after me personally instead of sticking to the issues being discussed?
PS- Did you just make up statistics?
Just curious why a Canadian would even think about getting involved in a debate that has no direct bearing on them.
This is were the disconnect is.
It does affect Canadians.
If you really need examples I would point to the keystone pipeline, which undoubtedly affected the oil industry here in western Canada. The softwood lumber issues years ago also had a significant effect on the area of Canada where I live.
You could also look at things like regulations. On vehicles for example, if adopted by the US, they also tend to be adopted here. US policy on some of these issues could affect what kind of vehicle I'm driving in ten years, or from where I get my energy.
This isn't even getting into world politics or the cultural similarities.
Looks interesting, but not for the Xbox One :shocked:Started playing this Firewatch game last night. First story based game I've enjoyed in a long time. Great voice acting and writing.
Baseball card stuck in the spokes? Something on the rim hitting the brake calipers? So riding my bike last night it started making a 'clicking' noise. This happens whether I'm pedalling or freewheeling. Seems to be speed dependent. I noticed if I lean the bike to the left the sound lessens or goes away, if I lean to the right it seems to get louder.
Any ideas?
