Anyway to have remote unlock all doors 1 push?

I purchased the carista dongle and app so I could do this only to find I can't. what a pain in the ass (at least for those of us with young kids) and a stupid feature to remove

Same. I dunno about you but I find you have to press it twice quickly, first time never seems to work so I end have having to press the button multiple times while my toddler screams simultaneously.

Exactly. All while listening to a cacophony of beeps.

It wouldn't be quite as bad if you could set it so that it beeps when you lock but doesn't when you unlock, but those settings are tied together.

This is my first Toyota and I'm surprised to keeping find things wrong with a car that has had ten years to become right. Yeah... I know... "reliability"

I thought it would be a good idea to turn beeping volume down to 1 on Carista, which didn't work because I couldn't hear the beeps anymore while the kids screamed. Back up to volume 3 lol

This seems like it should be an easy fix. But I tried Carista as well, and I can't seem to figure it out. Ugh.

please do not confuse this setting with the ability to TOUCH the door sensor and have it unlock all doors - that's working just fine.

Does this have to be done with OBDII and the app? Or is there another way? It makes no sense to not be able to unlock all the doors from the drivers side.

You don't need the dealer to do this - you can do it yourself. It probably works on other Toyota lock options, also, but I haven't tried it. This may not be the only way to do it, but I know this method works on my 5g Limited to TOGGLE the mode on or off:

1. Hold both Lock and Unlock buttons depressed on the fob.
2. At the same time, press the Panic button for five seconds until you hear a beep.
3. Release all buttons.

The unlock mode is now toggled to the alternate mode. Simply repeat the procedure to return to the previous mode.

Just did this procedure with my 2018 Limited and worked like a champ ... when using the smartkey to unlock. Now I just need to get the drivers door handle to do the same, or else I have to keep opening the door for my wife on the other side.

Just spent $10 (welllllll... $9.99 ) on Carista app to be able to change all kind of settings: windows down on one remote push; remove seatbelt ding-ding-ding (the dealer will not change it because they may be liable); change rear window wiper retrieve from 3sec to 2sec.

I think its been said, but with an aftermarket remote (from alarm or remote start) you can unlock both doors with one press. I have the Compustar remote start with T11 remote and when I press the T11 unlock button both doors are unlocked.

I just held down all 3 buttons on the FOB for my 2019 LE Nightshade and after 5 seconds it did 3 beeps and it will now unlock all doors when I touch the driver door handle when doors are locked. Awesome!

This only works with smart key.

I've got a '20 SR5 Premium and this three button method does not work. I get the beeps, but nothing changes as far as unlocking all doors with one push of the unlock keyfob button. I do have the smart key.

Yes, just tried it. If I have my key on me and touch either front door, all doors unlock. Better than nothing, I guess, but it's hard to believe Toyota does not give us the option of unlocking all with one press. Weird.

Should be an option in your headunit which required a dealer trip for earlier years.
