Anza-Borrego family fun trail run weekend

I'll probably meet up with your guys on Saturday. Maybe friday night but my wife invited the neighbors over for dinner. Sheesh.

Sounds good Mac you've got this brotha..
So Friday we'll meet at the Red Earth Casino ..Time? Your call Mac.
From there we will head south on down to Coral Wash which then we will head west to go drive thru a couple Archs and slots from there we then cut south over to Palm Wash and shoot that west to Calcite Mine.

Once we exit the Calcite Mine we will shoot across the highway headed south to Tectonic Gorge and take that east to TruckHaven Off Road Park to have lunch and allow people tool around on the obstacles for people to watch while eating. That area also provides shade canopys with a couple concrete picnic tables underneath each one to sit at and eat also provides actual restrooms for the group there as well. From there we will cut back across the highway north just on the other side to Kelly's Canyon and then Loop that into Rocky's Canyon depending on time when exiting Rockys Canyon we can either make our way to one of the chosen camp destinations and depending which one is chosen is what decides our next route. Could also set up camp then go for a night run which are really fun out there and you can actually use all those lights we have on our rigs and during the night run we will pit stop at a gas station to top off our rigs for the next morning/ days adventure before heading back to camp.

Saturday we will be meeting at the Ranger Station to meet up with the people who are arriving/joining us for Saturday's adventures ..Time? Up to you Mac..

So we will get up have breakfast, break down camp and then cut south across all of Ocotillo Wells to arrive at the Ranger Station Meet Spot.

From there we will go terrorize all of Fish Creek and its inner trails and canyons.

Awesome! I won't be there friday til probably around 630-7pm. Picking up kids after school so I'll leave Friday up to you as far as meet time. I like to solidify camp site friday to meet you guys. Friday itinerary looks awesome, wish I could do it but I'm down for night run.

Sat looks good. Meet 0830 and moving out by 0900 to maximize trail time, wind cave hikes, sandstone canyon etc. What do you think about fish creek campground Sat night? Unless there's a better site.

Sunday, I'm thinking about head towards diablo drop off -vallecito wash- arroyo Tapiado see the mud caves back to vallecito wash then exit to S2 back to 78 to go home. Just throwing it out there unless you have something planned.

My newly used elocker 3rd member has bad bearings. I thought it would be ok but has gotten worse. So taking it out and having it rebuilt. [emoji36]

I double booked this weekend.. I booked a cabin at toms plce in the sierras for one last fishing trip and color change photos.. I hate to weenie out but impaid for the room already...

You can do it I had to do the same 2yrs ago in my 4th gen, my locker arrived the day before my Death Valley Trip ..well I went for it and got it done at 5am the morning of departure which was to be at 6am to meet the group on time in DV.
I didnt even get to roll it out down the driveway to check it or nothing don't even know if I did it right or how it was gonna react.
Rig was loaded me and my chick hoped in pulled out of the garage and took off ..I drove for about 30-40 mins everything seemed ok and my chick took the wheel the rest of the way while I'll slept and drooled.
Still to this day have never had a issue with it.

This is what I was thinking as well for Sunday or doing Pinion "drop off "and the "Sqeeze"
Saturday's meet time is good as well. Camping at fish creek is fine ...I was thinking of camping in deeper so were not having to back Track back to the entrance of fish creek then Sunday morning driving all the way thru it again on morning departure.

I’m trying to make it Friday won’t know until Thursday though to be for sure.
Finished throwing in the spool now messing with the backlash to get it just right, should be done tonight.
Tried calling you about hooking it up with some of that canvas and snap in rings.
I could make a ghetto one on the spot Friday morning or Saturday morning whichever I end up making

I know no ground fires only steel containers are allowed in the state park, but sometimes the county bans wood burning camp fires altogether during peak fire season (basically summer through fall) unless it's in one of the permanent pits at the developed campgrounds like Tamarisk Grove or Palm Canyon campground. I am bringing my steel pit for Sat night in Fish Creek if it's still allowed, unless someone else is already planning on bringing a pit for Sat...

That sounds good to me. I just threw FC campground but I like being deeper and secluded for camping.

I took friday off so I'll be there at casino. Meet time friday 0830-0900?
