Anza-Borrego family fun trail run weekend

I'm interested in going. Stock '15 Trail. I have very limited off roading experience. Taking the wife and 2 boys 7 and 11. Planning on getting there Friday afternoon/early evening. Most likely will meet the group at the camp site. Staying the night and for the saturday morning runs. Wondering if this run would be ok or should we sit this out. Not sure how technical the trails are going to be. Please advise.

This run would be perfect for you, a huge majority of the trails in anza can be done in a stock truck( esp 4wd).
Mostly sight seeing and a couple optional obstacles on Saturday, I would highly suggest you hang around until Saturday evening before leaving

Thank you! That's what I wanted to hear. My kid has a game Saturday afternoon but would have loved to stick around longer. Maybe next time.

For those of you going out Friday, if you guys will be going through Coral Wash by the Phone Booth at all, there is a cool little trail right there that is pretty fun. It's not crazy difficult but it's really tight and narrow with some sweet flex spots that require a locker at minimum. We always make out way to it when we are in the area just because it is fun.

I'm 100% out. Nail in coffin is that I had to fly to Austin and wasn't able to take 3rd member into get fixed before I left.

Your rig will have no issues on this run
Super technical, couple Boulder sections probable damage to skids and diff, sliders not necessarily needed and couple whoop sections that will just rock the o'l kiddos to sleep and having your wife telling you to slow down every 20 secs cause it's making her nauseous...so yeah this run is perfect I hope this answered your question.

I must have missed a couple pages back that the Saturday morning meet up spot was changed from the Ranger Station to the Friday night campsite @ Arroyo Salado

I left the Ranger Station at 9:10am and went to Fish Creek thinking we were doing Sandstone canyon today aaaaand just saw that Ocotillo Wells is the area for the day trip. I'm headed to Gas Dome and hopefully I'll bump into everyone!

Had a blast today. Lucky to come out in one piece. Had a few battle scars but nothing major. Definitely would come out again. Man that Jeep had balls.
