It don't have to be sub 0 to feel like sub 0 .... and also don't have to be wearing layers of clothes. What's the point of a good sleeping bag if you have to wear layers of clothing, ...:crazy::bash:

I've been thinking of all different kinds of set ups to keep warm and always wanted a heater but was wondering about having it in the tent was I going to burn to death or die of carbon monoxide. So I did the next best thing and is works awesome!! Honda eu2000i and a king size electric blanket !!! Used it 2 weekends ago in JT and actually got to hot. I wasn't even in a tent. Laying in the back of my truck. No socks, no clothes only my chonies. All my friends were laughing. But it works awesome!!! And have the benefit of geni if someone else needs it for something

I thought about that but cost was a little too much. I'm buying the Mr. heater buddy. It's suppose to be safe for indoor use and it has auto shutoff safety features. We'll see how it goes at Anza.

I have one of these and it works great! Slept with it on all night on my Bishop trip, just make sure you have a vent somewhere. If it does accidentally tip over the flame goes out but the propane is still being released.

Good to know Soso. I think I'm getting close to being complete for camping. We have tent, sleeping bags, mattress, heater, hot water system, fridge, portable power, and cooking equip. But I know I'm going to see something that somebody else have that I need or want! HAHA!!

How's your storage? Slide out tray in the back, ol fashion plastic crates? I converted a plastic crate into a chuck box type thing it's made everything so much easier, but before this run I'll have a full slide out storage box in the back to take its place

Does it take the small propane bottles? This is about the only piece of camping equipment I'm missing. When I'm solo I sleep in the truck no heater required even in the snow. But in the tent is always a different story

Not even plastic crates underneath. It's more like shove everything in there storage. But I'll be redoing it to make a drawer. It works in the meantime. Can't wait for this run!

I'm off next week, maybe I'll finally get around to starting my rear cargo box. Planning a 3 drawer tall one to sit next to the fridge, and then a removable one for the rear driver side seat. If everything comes together as planned, I'll be ridiculously organized.

That's what I'm aiming for, I get stressed out when my shit isn't nice and tidy and it takes longer to find something. The plastic chuck box I made has been huge in keeping my stuff together [MENTION=133319]MACT4R[/MENTION]. I'll try to upload some pics when I get a chance for some motivation. About 30$ of materials and a few hours I was done

My biggest problem is access to tools and recovery gear. It's all in a gear bag that sits behind one of those Costco tubs (because that's the only place it fits) so I have to pull everything out to get to it. Which isn't too bad, unless it leads to you losing your keys somewhere in the rig in the middle of nowhere (DV comes to mind, haha) Then you have to start pulling everything back out to figure out what the hell you did with them. I'm working on a dedicated tool kit to get to the tools easier and at least 1 drawer will be dedicated to tools/recovery, the other 2 will be for kitchen/camping gear. The removable box will be for the sleeping bags/pillows/bedding.
