Quick fire family friendly wheeling/camping?

Would like to meet any and all of the frequents around here. Just wanted to see if anyone is interested in a fun run/camping this weekend.

Ideas: Anza Borrego...

Fish creek. take the kids to the wind caves in the morning and let them run a muck, then up to sandstone canyon. I mean it is desert season.

Sin Nombre to Fish Creek. Via Diablo drop. I'm sure Diablo is rutted a bit and there is definitely a muddd-ish water crossing. Frequent stops to let kid run a muck

Valley of the moon day trip. I have not been but it looks rad. wheel up.. let the kids play come home.

Anyone Game? I would most likely drive out Friday night late and camp with my 2.5 yr old. (unless Valley of the moon happens)

Extra.. I'd be into Canyon Sin Nombre Friday night and run it to Diablo Drop (night wheeling) then post a camp. Venture somewhere Saturday.

Heading out for a work trip on Sat morning, but trying to hit the desert Friday to see the bloom with the wife. Would have loved to make it into a camping weekend, but gotta catch that plane.

The bloom is so beautiful right now. I’ve been up Coyote canyon the past couple weekend. The butterflies are just as stunning. Thousands of butterflies!

Bad! but I went with wife and son so we were just doing what everyone else was doing. It was a little annoying trying to get out people just stopped in the middle of the road. I mean you can even pull over! haha

I'm out this weekend but at some point I definitely want to do more trips. Not sure how I'd feel about going through that much water. I'm pretty adverse to going through deep water.

Sure but I actively try and avoid getting water on my 4R. Its one thing to be forced to do it and another to do it for fun.

that you actively try to keep water off your truck. that just seems silly and a bit prissy. but what do i know? i bombed a roadside mud puddle a couple weeks ago and got stuck as fuxk. it was comical.

To each their own, I don't enjoy working on my truck. Nor do I feel like replacing a transmission or differential since a bunch of water got into it. I'll drive through water when necessary but I'm not putting my truck into a bad situation just for hilarity.

Went out and saw the blooms this weekend! They were beautiful and there were so many butterflies! But the crowds...geez...to be expected I guess. I found a couple spots where there weren't too many people though. Had to get through and away from the crowds though.

I'm going to be out there today, do you have any recommended spots besides the usual Coyote Canyon, etc.....Hoping that the crowds aren't so bad on a Monday.
