In Portland Oregon where I live that would sell for 6500 in one day. I looked at four 4runners before finally getting the one I have and they weren't in as good a condition as yours. Two of those four 4runners I was looking at had other people lined up to look at them after I had test drove it. Depends on your market I guess...

if your gonna get a beater and want to save on gas. get a geo metro. my first ride was a 91. and i loved it. felt like 80mpg. small tank. only 3cyl so it will definitly save gas. and theyre cheap.

Around here, you'd get $6500 easy.

I'm selling a 1997 SR5 with 196K on it for $6400 locally. I had 4 calls today, and 3 people seriously interested from the weekend. I know asking that much would look like bologna to an internet buyer, so that's why I haven't advertised the truck on here, and I'm not selling it on the internet.

It all depends on how hard they are to find. Around here, you simply can't find clean 3rd gen's. If you do, you pay the asking price, because the demand is high. Rough 3rd gen's with high miles bring over $5k here.

I was going to say the same thing. Here in Oregon they're worth a ton. Ive seen them on craigslist with 150K for $9000. Ive seen them with 200K+ for $6500

You'll kick yourself in the a$$ if you get rid of it and gas drops back down to "normal". Just keep it and buy a beater and then you won't have to buy another 4Runner down the road and make it yours all over again. Yours is a hell of a lot nicer than mine is but I only paid $2 grand for mine with 210k miles on it so I don't see yours going for a whole lot of money and definitely not what you have in it.
