Are 3rd gen 4Runner's just sexy or what?

Don't get me wrong, I have seen some newer gen rides that are really done up right......but I really love the lines of the 3rd gen.

I sat in a 2014 today and aside from the $40k (on sale!) price tag, it just felt huge....kind of like an older LC...definitely a lot bigger than my 3rd gen. The 3rd row seating is a super nice feature though....I wonder if I could bolt a 3rd row in mine.

Anyways, there weren't enough mindless posts tonight so I thought I would contribute.

They really are a very great vehicle.

Toyota did it 100% correctly when they designed and built the 3rd gen.

Many vehicles that are over 10 years old look - well - old and dated. The third gen still looks good IMO and actually still looks better than many new models on the dealership floors.

Last time I was at the dealer I got 2 compliments and a 5 min be from the sales guys about how nice the 4runner looks and how fun it looks. Toyota did lot right with these.

Back on subject; every time I have gone to my local dealer for parts, a salesman will come out and ask if I am trading my '01 SR5 in on something new. My buddy is the used car manager there and he is always telling me how the dealership loves to get 3rd gens in on trade. He says they don't last but a few days before they are sold.
I have to agree that the 3rd gens look awesome:hail:; this coming from a guy who worked at General Motors for 22yrs.

I dream that someday Toyota will reissue the 3rd gen's. I'm not a big fan of the 4th and 5th, I just feel that they are too big to be 4runner's. Yes, 3rd gen's are sexy, even stock IMHO.

Mine is so sexy that it helps me sell my business. I'm a mobile detailer and when people see my 3rd Gen I constantly get told "if you can make my vehicle that good then lets do a full detail". I always think in my head... its no 3rd Gen, but I will do my best. :jk:
