Are the Trail Edition wheels hub or lug centric?

I haven't seen it in the manuals.
It's just a known fact by the type of lug nuts that it hub centric and I measured it with micrometer. They have been the same on 4Runners since 2003 at least.
Lug centric wheels have tapered lug nuts to center the wheel.

I just went to mine last week to buy a diff gasket and gave him the part number. I looked it up online at trd parts across town it was $6.05 with a msrp of $8.05 so figured they would charge msrp and not worth it to drive the extra 10 miles for 2 bucks savings.
The parts guy ,where I bought the truck mind you, tells me with a straight face that it's $15.50 plus tax. I explained to him that I already looked it up and the msrp was $8.05 His reply ......well ,we're here to make money you know.WTF! No telling how much they rip unknowing people off.He gave it to me for the msrp when I asked to speak to the service mngr.

Hub centric which is why toyota's tend to have bigger issues with aftermarket lug centric wheels. I had to use plastic spacer rings on my Tacoma to get rid of some bad vibes.

4-Runner and Taco wheels are LUG centric (Tundras too)
I've been through this over and over with all of my 4-Runners. IF you have one or more wheels that are a little off you MUST find a shop that can balance them LUG-centric. On my '10 trail I have I have one that has a hub-lug center difference. I have to tell the shop every time to use the adapter yet they still 'forget' and I have to take it back.
Here is an article that discusses the issue. There is a TSB that instructs Toyota Techs to use the adapter IF the customer has issues.

I've recently moved to the sticks and only the Dealer has the adapter around here, I still had to take them a copy of Technical Service Bulletin (TSB SU002-96) ..
