Also if anyone has some free time tomorrow, Sentinel is coming over to my place around 10 to change some fluids and I believe after were planning to hit a trail or two if anyone is interested ...in cruising over

Let me confirm the dates and I'll get back to you, pretty sure it's that weekend though. My mom's boss has a condo out on one of the golf courses off the 111 so we're going to hang out for the weekend. I'll be free that Saturday to go tool around.

That's still relaxing. Pool and wheeling, your weekend is set. Wish I can join you guys wheeling. Got to replenish the funds. I may go to valley of the moon for a day trip to test out the rig.

The sooner you sell your OEM tires, the more you can get for them. If you are going to upgrade your tires, do it sooner rather than later.

I got $300 for my OEM takeoff tires in a day or two on craigslist. They had about 600 miles on them or so.
I used the stock size for 2 reasons. One, so I can still use tire chains in the snow, and two, because the gearing is too tall anyways. Taller tires will only make that worse.

275/70/18 only because Im on stock rims, by the time I wear these bad boys out, I plan on upgradeing to 35's on a smaller rim and maybe some long travel. Got my tires from 4wheel parts because not only was it the cheapest I could find in my area (baton rouge, LA) but they also offered a warranty for the life of the tires that seemed like a great deal cant remember what I paid in total (1100-1450) but that included balance and mounting

I also found the 275s to be an inch taller, an inch narrower, and A LOT lighter than the 285s. I figured a lighter tire and an extra inch of lift to get my diffs a little higher was a good way to go. 275s are also cheaper

Hey guys, down in San Diego for a couple weeks and was looking at the mine trails, looks like a really cool trip. For what it's worth in that general area of palm desert there is a trail (walking) that's named "Indian wells". A natural series of cool cold pools of water separated by elevation and smooth water slide rocks in between. In case anyone was interested!
Anyways if anyone is heading out for a trail run or expedition I'd be willing to tag along.
