Don't mount that thing too low like mine is. It cuts off your ability to see quite a bit.

Will install as close as possible to the Field Monitor Unit like my current set up in the picture above.

I believe the GM mirror allows a Fahrenheit or Centigrade reading? Can anyone confirm??

I have a set of 02 visors with Homelink so I won't lose that function if I proceed with the install.
Will likely have to offset it as the OP suggested so at least the passenger side visor fully opens.

Are those 4Runner visors or from something else? I'd love to have the homelink integrated, as I have two garage door openers on the visor right now and I hate it. Is it the passenger side or driver's? I looked at the parts diagrams but it didn't mention any of them having homelink, so did it come on all the '02s?

Yeah, I did a little digging, and they seem to be pretty uncommon. They're also expensive to buy new. I'm going to keep an eye out for a set, but I won't be breaking the bank over it.

Hello my good Sir...I apologize for taking so long to get this posted! The passenger's Sunvisor misses the mirror by about 1/4"...then the driver's Sunvisor over-laps the mirror by 1 1/2". But, remember how I was attempting to explain how the mirror was adjusted at an angle. By doing this it allows me to drop both Sunvisor down and use them without touching the mirror. Once again...sorry for taking so long to get back with you.

Finally got the mirror mod done and am very happy with the results. I snapped a picture with the sun visors down to show the clearance 1/2" on left 1/4" on right, and this is with it set for proper rear viewing

Can anyone help me. I have the same mirror. Was working correctly. Then I disconnected it and reconnected it and now where the temp and compas shows. It’s iisy showing everything. In other words nothing works. Showing all the settings and that’s it.
