Need to know if a trans out of a 97 t4r will work in a 2001 t4r

I'm pretty sure you will need a 99 on up trans. Or you may get away with the 97 and swapping sensors and wiring harness

As far as I can tell they used the same trans A340F from 96-2002 but when I do a search 2001 trans is twice as much dealing with the milkshake right now

If you look on Craig's List the parts houses that part out a runner always group the 96-98 together when listing what they fit. A AW4 out of a jeep is also the same trans. Different bellhousing.

No. You need an 01-02 transmission. They are three versions of the A340E/F put into the 3rd gen. They are broken down as 96-98, 99-00, and 01-02.

Thanks guys, that answers my question think I'm gonna do a flush and ride it out wait and see if the trans goes out and then rebuild it
