Here you go:
Turn on headlights.
Never touch this control button again.
Headlights will "automatically" turn on, each time vehicle is started.
Headlights will "automatically" turn off each time vehicle is switched off, after a few seconds.
Any other type of mod is bound to be a failure on the darkest, coldest, busiest night of your life lol.

Concur with Biggcrisp. I too was disappointed that my '15 TE didn't have auto headlights (coming from a 2011 Ram 2500 that does).
But, like he says, unlike other manual headlight vehicles, they do go off when turn off / lock the car after a while so it's not AS big of an issue. Just gonna take some getting used to.
Not worth it to me to hack into factory wiring for such a critical system.

I too was a little disappointed that the auto headlight feature wasn't on the Trail Premium... given the overall cost of the vehicle and comparably priced vehicle having it. That being said... and as others have mentioned... they do turn off when you just leave the manual headlights on 'all the time'.
The one downside to leaving your headlights on all the time is that your T4R thinks that its nighttime and will dim your LED screen and make it almost unreadable during the daytime. And it's even harder to read if its dimmed and you wear polarized sunglasses. I'm in Florida... and wear polarized sunglasses ever day, 365 days a year. So... you need to consider one of two options:
1) Turn your headlights on all the time and then adjust your dash brightness to the highest level so that you can see your LED screen in the day. At night... the dash will be too bright so you'll need to manually lower the brightness.
2) Manually turn your headlights on as/when needed.
Either option... you've got a manual process that will be needed on most days. I've opted for #2 and and after about a month, it doesn't even phase me anymore.

I love that the lights are always off. Thats a HUGE plus for me.
