AVIC-Z1 teaser pic

Yeah, I recognized the Scosche double-DIN trim kit, just wasn't sure about his dash trim...

It was the single-disk trim, like I thought. I'm in the process of trying to swap out the bezel trim w/ another member prior to ordering my unit...

Thanks for the help.

Does anyone have pics of what it looks like in a JBL 6 disc 4runner?
I'm sure a few of us wanna see if it works out/looks good
Thanks!

My console AUX input was not hook up to the Z1, it's pointless because the Z1 have a slew of its own inputs. But I guess if you really want it, your installer can do a custom hookup.

Bypass for Z1

FYI if you guys want to bypass the video disable while driving and your system is wired up properly turn your headlights on and off 3 x before the system fully boots but after it receives + current. If you didn't wire up the dimmer then send 3 + pulses to the dimmer wire and make sure your p-brake wire is grounded. This will disable the video lock while driving.

Question for you all. I just ordered this unit and I have an '02 sequoia with JBL. I just noticed on crutchfield it won't fit...guess I should have researched more. Anyone know why this won't fit and what I can do to remedy? Which wiring harness do I use?
Thanks in advance,
-Ed

I'm looking for the center console little cubby piece that goes under the A/C controls. I need it in black and gray woodgrain. If anyone has this, or knows where I may be able to pick it up, that would be awesome.
Thanks in advance!

It is mounted on the roof towards the rear-middle. They ran the wire thru the headliner and then thru the hi-brake light wire loom. Very neat and professional, looks like factory installed. At first I fear water would run in there, but after a few car washes, no problems so far.

Question

I am looking at this deck also I've narrowed out the Eclipse and alpine versions of this but have one question the dealer rep can't answer me even.

When your playing music and hit the hide button does it display a spectrum analyzer or is it just a wall paper? Also will the spectrum analyzer work when moving if their is a spectrum analyzer?

There is no spectrum analyzer, just panaramic EQ.

When you hit hide, only show wallpaper. Background is changeable, you may also import your own wallpaper.

Toyota Factory Instslled GPS Antenna

Toyota installs the GPS in teh steering wheel. I went to Toyota and they gave me a wiring diagram and it appears inside the Steering wheel.

4Runner Wiring Diagram

I have the diagram please e-mail me and I will send to you in .pdf or you can tell me how to post on here!!

I thought the factory GPS location was next to the left air duct in the upper part of the dash, between the steering wheel and the left duct.

GPS Location

You might be right, the wiring diagram I have makes it look like it is in/near the steering wheel.
