awdjunkies 4th Gen build thread

Up until now, my 4runner has been as stock as can be... Not much to report yet...gradual changes plus more to come.. Although my list looks lame, These subtle items are functional to me :biggrin1:

This is how she has looked so far prior to mods(Trip we took with family to Nevada city this Oct.)

Coming back home

November rolls around, and I start itching all over, I tell the wife and she says allergies, go take some Benadryl in pill or liquid. I tell her she doesn't understand, I have caught a bug, the MOD bug to be exact.. lol So I start ordering a few things here and there..

I have started installing some of the items but have yet to install a few others since I have to place a few more orders before the year is up..(Yes, had to include the awesome 10HP mod, my Decal.. Thanks Morris!!)

Well I finally got around to installing them Yellow HIDs a few days ago.. Here are some crappy dark pictures, but you get the gist of it( As you can see I have oem headlights) ..

I want the ladder and rack so bad! There is a thread here somewhere with a guy building them. He made one extra wide for a guy, as wide as the whole roof, and I really like that style much better. I'm a painter, so I haul stuff and I'm a diggin' it!

Yeah, WhitsonMetalWorks Is such as BADASS!! But My pockets are empty for now lol I may just get a cheapy rack to get me by.. Till I can afford that one..

I'm itching for a lift, but as said before, the tires are still pretty new(went with stock size) and the XREAS is still great.


Oh and I need to get some Round or rectangular lights on the bull bar. Just don't know which to go with.

I'd do the Bilstein lift. Cheap, and it doesn't look bad with stock tires. Also, you could get bigger tires, sell your current ones to recoup some of the cost. I'm itching for my 35's now, but I need to wait a little bit. I have to get headers, y-pipe, get them installed, and buy a work trailer as I can't fit all my painting tools in my truck anymore. Hell, I can't even fit it all with 2 loads! I'd really like to re-gear and get a rear locker at the same time as the 35's, but that is dependent entirely on my ability to find some good paying painting jobs in the future.
