Even fading out is fine with me as long as it doesn't look like the roll on stuff (herculiner etc) after a couple of years. There's a couple of heeps (I meant jeeps but the keys are slippery) on base that did that and their rigs look worse they they do new.

The peeling is of more concern with me and I'm going to be very careful to apply this stuff to the best of my ability. I have a paint booth lined up for this application and heat lamps to boot.

Now can you tint it any color?

I am not really picky about color usually but my 98 is the Anthracite Metallic. I kinda like it lol. Beyond that I know tan doesn't fade much so the fading might be kind of a moot point. That's why I painted my 82 tan

yeah you can tint it any color , a member on here actuallly bought the tintable version and bought his paint somewhere else so you can use your own paint, i would suggust spraying it and just doing a bunch of coats like i did

I will consider monstaliner but since I already know how to apply the raptor stuff I might just stick with it. I think in the end monstaliner and raptor are probably pretty similar

I ordered some paint chips after I found a couple close to what I need. It really does look like a great product. I will spray it though.

I'll through out some info ive gathered on this topic. My paint is in pretty bad shape so a while back I considered monstaliner and started doing a lot of research. IMO there isn't anything that comes close to the quality of monstaliner as far as a diy bedliner product and its relatively cheap. So, if this is something your wanting to do I would definitely go with the monstaliner.

As far as spraying or rolling, I personal would roll it. I talked to a few reps with the company and they explained the differences. Rolling it helps to smooth it out and keeps the texture down. If you want it more textured spraying it will provide that "look". Also, depending on how much experience you have with a paint gun their can be a lot of variables that effect the outcome. Example; how close/far you spray it, quality of gun, how much thinner used, etc, etc. I've seen a few sprayed that have clumpy uneven spots. Rolling will take a little longer and it may be helpful to have a helper so you can get another coat before the first gets too dry.

I haven't done mine yet and haven't completely decided but I have looked into it quite a bit and the above is just some info I've gathered.

If it sprays anything like the raptor it is a cakewalk. There is no reducing this stuff because its like spraying an endless stream of snot with lots of boogers lol. Now the prep work for spraying is higher with overspray but since we are doing an entire vehicle its going to take a while anyway because of disassembly and stuff to make sure a good coverage is accomplished.

This is in general and should apply but not necessarily for bedliner.
