Great thread! As stated earlier, I was leaning towards this bushing and wondering if there was a way to do anything with it, I just haven't had any time to take a look. After taking a few minutes to read through this link and the others listed in the thread, I will be working this week to see if I can make one of these tools.

Thanks for taking the time to look. I was about to pull my hair out thinking that I had the entire setup wrong in my head.

Haha. Isn't his problem caused by a bad brass bushing on the rear of the spindle. They make bearing kits that replace that brass bushing.

Thanks for the heads up. I saw something about a needle bearing mod while reading about the spindle lubrication tool. Im gonna look at both options this week and see if I can do something this weekend.

I know this thread is a little old but I wanted to see if you got this resolved? I am having a similar issue and am thinking it is the spindle bushings.

Sorry man, but I haven't had the time to tackle it yet. This task is sitting at about 33 on my "honey-do" list. I can say that I have not had any issues with it over the 50 miles I've put on the Runner since I completed the hub install but after looking at the thread about the bushing issues and thinking about the way it is seated in the other parts, I just don't see how it could be anything else.

I plan on getting the items together to make the tool mentioned in the other thread to give the bushing a good greasing. Once done I will post an update.

Thanks for the reply. I just took mine apart, and yup it is definetly those bushings. Now I've just got to get them ordered.
