snowshredder, im curious if the Step Rails you sale for the tacoma fit on the 4runner, could someone do a test fit while the 4runner is there to see?

Another new product...
We're looking into getting another new item for the 4th Gen.'s. The 05+ Tacoma's have a step bar we've considered doing for one of the Generation's of 4Runner's...as luck would have it, there's been some interest generated from this thread and some of the email's we've received. This is in no way hindering the progress with the Light Bar...just a simultaneous product developement hopefully to be released together....or just a short time after the light bar. I will have more information as progress continues. If you're interested in the light bar or step bar, please contact me here [email protected] I do try and answer emails as quickly as possible. Thank you to everyone so far who has contacted us with expressed interest in our products. We appreciate the business.:biggrin2: And please keep em' coming.

JIG work has started...though this is a bit of a process it is moving forward.

My apologies for not getting an update here any sooner, we've been busier than expected and working longer days...as if that's possible.
We believe the jig work is complete and will be testing it to see if it is in fact on target. One of the last thing's needed to be done is one more test fit...once we've done that, we can call it good. Standard pricing will start around $325.00, but I believe there will be a discount offered....details on this still need to be worked out. Check back here for any update's or you can contact us through our website.

So, I welded our last beta lightbar today, so all we need is for ChuckNorris to come in for the last fitment. So if there's any more delay, know that its not on us...

We're actually putting a set together to test fit and see if we need to make another jig. The same jig can be used for either of the sliders...they can be either standard slider's or the kick-out's, the jig will work on both type's. Weld on sliders are a different animal all together...our frame mounts are gusseted and the frame plate triangulated for superior strength when compared to other's I've seen. Then welded to the frame...they're super strong, I don't know how else to put it. I had them on my 90' and high centered on them on purpose just to see if I could get them to flex. A slight flex was there but hardly anything like expected to see. So I've PM'd Mr.Norris and we're just waiting to hear from him. :keyboard:

So with that out there.....ChuckNorris has up'd the ante...he's coming in tomorrow for the last fitment. He was able to work it out on his side to help push this out quickly...so a HUGE "THANK YOU" to Mr. Norris!

With a 3rd. Gen. in my stable now, it won't be long....if things slow down a little and we can catch up, we'll be putting some projects together for us 3rd. Gen. owners.

Light Bar is done as well as the jig. All test fits are completed. ChuckNorris picked his up on Friday for the last test fit and all went as expected. There should be some pic's up soon when he gets it all painted/ powder coated and installed...so bug him now:boink: just kidding.
We also managed to mock up a set of our side steps for those who are interested. We will need, in the future, a couple of different 4Gen. 4Runner's for a test fit. The ideal vehicle will have the running boards removed and ready for fitment when pulling up.
Again, a big THANK YOU! to ChuckNorris for spending more hour's than was originally intended. But I think he liked hanging out with us...even though we're sarcastic as hell....thanks again Gary! uh.uh.uh..I mean Ryan.

The light bar is out for powder coat and will be ready by end of next week.
Thanks to all the hard work from Avid Off-Road. Its good to see small businesses doing great things for the masses. I hope that the product development becomes a huge success for Avid.
These guys are professionals at what they do. The time and effort put into each order is second to none. This was my first time as a participant in the product development stages and was amazed at what it takes to create a unique product. I was a bit surprised during the step bar development when Brandon asked me what I thought! WOW! You mean you want to know what I think???!?!? Not to mention the great customer service that was provided before, during and after the product was complete.
Again, thank you to Brandon (owner) and Todd....I mean Ted
I plan on future additions for my personal 4th Gen and hope that others here will consider Avid Off-Road for their off-roading needs.
