Well, this one is technically Momma's ride so she did not want an extreme build like I did on my last ones. She wanted it higher and wider with bigger tires, so mission accomplished so far.
I have been the control arm/coilover/sliders/skids/bumpers route before on these. This one will be more mild daily driver with weekend camping and medium wheeling. Would be nice to have a rear FJ locker though...hmmm.
I've been working on the typical sunroof, rear seat, hatch, crossbars rattles and almost have it silent now. My Caster bolts are seized, so that will be a future fun time replacing them with the Moog greasables and new bushings. I only have 1.6 deg caster currently so it is a tiny bit drifty on the highway. Camber and toe are right on though. Also replaced the rear door lock latch/actuator since it was dead. Put in the Grom BT adapter last night. Stock JBL is fine and the BT Streaming sounds great. Brake controller installed for towing and now all set. I bought a new set of plugs that go in tonight. Appears to be a 100% Colorado truck so hopefully the coil and plug threads OK. Timing belt and WP just changed too according to Mitsu sticker.
Previous owner took very good care of it and added the Magnaflow cat-back and AFE filter (must have been a yota fan). I added some brighter low beam bulbs that really helped too.
