Hey guys I need some help once again. Well heres what happened, I was first at a stop light in the right lane and this one ton dodge dually came and took my mirror off!! you know how some people are poor drivers and turn a little to the left to go right and vice virsa. He or she knew they hit my SUV and they ran. I am really pissed. And I would have definitly gone after him and done "bad and unmoral" things to the driver but I got smart and didn't. Any heres where I need help. I want to find a place that sells painted mirrors like on the sport and limited editions. I might as well start making my SR5 look like a sport now that I have a reason.

Yeah gotta love carma! Have you tried talking to your insurance agent to see if they can do anything? Of course without paying a deductible.

most likely the damage amount will be under his deductible anyway.

I was about to say the same thing. At a minimum, your deductible is probably $500, and to completely replace the whole mirror should be less than that. I had to replace the whole driver side mirror, housing and all, on a Nissan Altima, and it ran just over $300 installed.

I just talked to my agent and I have to pay and yes the rates would go up. I guess to new mirrors would cost under $500. still this was something I didn't need. some of my friends at school were shocked I didn't start a man hunt! lol. boy do I want too!!:sniper:

Aw man! Now I found a strach on the door. I also tried the motor and its busted too. Oh and for your amusment. As soon as I pulled up in my driveway a big chunk of the mirrior  but hey what can you do right? Ill post pics in a bit

I think everyone will be shocked when the cost of this powered item is repaired. My guess it's going to be around $800+US dollars for parts and labor installing it.

And if they do any type of painting add $200+

If $ is important, it might be worth an internet search to see if 4R replacements are available.

I've whacked a deer with the mirror on my old Exploder twice.

$38 + a few bucks for shipping, and I replaced them myself (black, not painted)

ebay, dealerships, or junk yards.

You're smart and i would be dumb to turn-off my headlights and chase after him/her and be unmoral.

It seems to me I have seen the entire assembly for sale online for like $150. A few years ago I knocked the power mirror assembly off an F250 and it cost around $500 for the dealer to replace.
