Bay Area meet and greet...and wheel

Ive been reading these forums for a while now, put in my .02$ for what it's worth. But I still havn't met anyone or been able to take my stock Runner wheeling deep in the cuts as I usually go explore solo. Anybody interested in doing a meet and greet in the next few weeks? Maybe wheel around the santa cruz mountains (Summit, Ornsby and Blue Lagoon rd) or Hollister afterwards. I posted on the general discussion forum, not sure where I should post this. Anyways, if anyone is interested post up and lets figure out something.

Suggested date is June 2

Hollister doesn't excite me in the least. Usually if I go abuse the truck its to get somewhere I haven't seen before. I haven't been out in a long time though and wouldn't mind spending a little bit of time on some local trails. Especially if someone else wants to do the planning.

I'm down. Hollister is a bit tame and you see the same trails, but i don't mind it since it's a 45 min drive. I'm down to adventure out in the SC mountains, but I don't know of any spots.

Sounds like we may have the potential for a meet here. Before we go too much further into the planning, how does the weekend of June 2nd sound? My wife and kid are in Monterey that weekend. I am nearing the 200k marker and haven't wheeled before, I am also stock, but I ain't scared! Lol. If hollister ends up being the spot for wheeling, do they allow camping? Or is it to small to wheel away for 2 days (sat-sun). Just thinking outside the box here. Alleys see if any other locals chime in.

I'm a noob to this and want to start getting into a little wheeling. I'm also from the Bay Area and always down to go on a little adventure as long as its the weekend. Also running a stock 4runner (for now) so i hope there are some noob trails. Hopefully this all comes together just keep me posted

@ t4r4life no worries, I'm not looking at getting shot or getting a ticket. You have any suggestions other then Hollister?

All others suscribe if you want to be kept in the loop, I may not be able to keep track of everyone and wouldn't want to forget anyone when this developes into an acctual event.

To be honest my truck is really not in the shape to wheel right now, 31" highway tires, no skids, but i do wanna get out doors and hang out. Maybe we can find a good spot, maybe do some fishing, grilling, drinking

I put a post on the general dis utile but got no bites. But by all means, spread the word. Obviously the amount of people going will dictate where we go. I don't think having 30 t4r in the mountains would be wise..though it would be cool!

I'm good that weekend either day. No overnights, cause I try to put my 14 month old to bed everynight.
I'm cool where ever not affraid to be on the road well before sunrise to get to trailhead.:cheers:
