Beer thread!

back when i was a freshman... three years ago...

my drunk self and my drunk friends had the genius idea to mix Guinness and vanilla ice cream and it was amazing. We credited ourselves with the idea only to find out that a beer float is a common thing and better this better beer than Guinness :nono:

As much as I love Guinness, it might be a toss up. Guess i need to do a side by side to know for sure. Oh DARN!

zopperman...

if you ever make it out to cali.. go check out Sierra Nevada. I was there last weekend with my buddy and they give brewery tour with tasting for free.

Lately I'm hooked on a beer called Tap Room 21, or Moe's Back Room Amber Ale. There's also a honey flavored Amber Ale. I get it from Fry's supermarkets.

It gets really bad reviews online but I think the people that rate it are micro brewery types that don't like anything but porters stouts and ipa's....

Every time I bring a case to a party or bbq it disappears fast.

HEY!!! I can drink PBR, naty and bud are garbage.... Dunno why I like this beer so much, I just do.

I used to drink porters and stouts, kinda got away from them. ipa's don't do it for me at all....

I'm not a huge IPA guy either. Terrapin hopsecutioner is badass. But at 18 bucks a 6 pack.....

try the anchor porter to get you back into them. It's amazing. Just hoppy and carbonated enough but still a solid porter

I think I will always love Killians Irish Red from my college days.
But lately Iv'e been into Shiner. Their Black Lager is amazing. Guinness has a black lager too that is pretty good.

kenski, yes Kilkenny is one of my top favorite beers as well.

I first had it in Australia and didn't see it in the states for years and years. Now it is available in many different Irish pubs in San Diego :)

When I was in Boston I took the train out to the Sam Adams brewery.

It was awesome. Can't be FREE TOUR & FREE BEER!

:humble:

I got the Guinness black lager when i was in ireland - they were giving it out for free everywhere as a promo. it was great!

Thank goodness you all actually like craft beers. my roommates drink nothing but coors and bud and look at me sideways when I bring home growlers from our local brewery.
CO has more microbreweries per capita than any other state in the country :usa2:

Sampling of what is currently in the beer fridge. Love the Coffee Stouts!

Oyster Stout? How was that one?

If I had to drive my 4runner offroad to get there, it would be heaven.

I live about 2 miles from the brewery. If you ever go there, don't order a burger. I gave up on eating the food there. The sandwiches are good but the burgers are EXTREMELY undercooked every time. I ordered a burger very well done because I was expecting it to be a little undercooked, yeah it came to me still pink and bloody. You could ask for it burnt and it will still be undercooked.:mmph:

I don't eat burger so i'm in the clear!

Having a SN summerfest right now. Sub par for them, i was a bit disappointed
