Bending aluminum skids

Here is case for going with steel....these are rci aluminum skids. This is one just behind the trd skid.. this covers oil pan. Once good hit, dropped on a big rock. They did their job. Easy to pound back flat with a big hammer.

Still happy with them, and good with aluminum.

But for hard core rock crawling, steel would be the way to go.

Makes sense...good advice.

the biggest problem with the bending aluminum skids is that if they bend enough they can actually deform over the bolts and be a real PITA to remove -- i know of RCI skids that had to be cut off
