What has been your experience at Toyota of Dallas? They've done a good job for me and I know you get a lot of your parts there through their TRD desk. Have you had a bad experience there?

On Autorotate's recommendation I used Toyota of Dallas for 30k service, prop shaft TSB, and headlight TSB. My only complaints were:
1. They didn't top off all fluids
2. I can tell where they had to pry the panels on the headlight removal/install
I can live with both of these things and would use them again.
Also keep in mind the construction in the area makes it a bit of a cluster to get there.

Based on Toyota of Dallas's website, they (including service department) are in a different location due to construction at dealership.

Just thinking out loud... would the service department preform up to standard not being at their own facility?

I've used Cavender, Alamo and Boerne. I used to only go to Cavender as they had a master tech there who was the only dealer tech I trusted working on my Supra. Now that Alamo moved to their current location, I tend to use them the most for my other Toyota's since they are closet to me. So far they've been okay other than the last time I went in and they forgot to plug something back in and triggered the CEL. Had to make a return trip so they could plug in whatever they forgot to.
Finally, I've also used Toyota of Boerne a few times. They are the highest rated service shop in the SA area. I like this place as they give you a free loaner whenever you have work done as long as you request it ahead of time. I was there a week ago and dropped the car off to balance the tires. They didn't get it done til late in the afternoon so they apologized and didn't charge me anything which was great because they discovered one the the OEM tires was out of round and the balance/rotation didn't do much.

They're using the old John Roberts BMW facility on Denton Dr. I had my 15K service done there a few months ago and it's a little cramped, but they have all the same shop equipment they had at their own place.

ToB has been reccomemded to me before but purchasing my vehicle from there left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess I need to remember sales and service are two different departments. I was told to ask for Mike Quinn, Sales Manager, if I ever go there. 'Straight shooter', that is what was used to describe him.

ToD is just problematic for me since Reggie was promoted. I just had my 50k done, they stripped a bolt on my skid for the panel that accesses the filte and when I was there at 40k they left three bolts out of things that didnt need to be removed to begin with. I am looking for a place with a good tech where I can back in the shop and watch everything he does. As we build these vehicles we become familiar and persnickety about how they are cared for and I have had enough of ToD. Sorry Jacque.

Good to know about Toyota of Dallas (not so good for you). I'll be following this thread to see if anyone here in the DFW area has any good suggestions. My 20K service is coming up in the next couple of months.

Toyota of Fort Worth has done me right with sales and service. They spent a lot of time getting the alignment right on my Tacoma. Rotating tires and test drove several times to make sure it was good.

I'm an SA native. I don't care what anyone says, all in all, Red McCombs has the best Toyota Service Dept. in the SA. I've used all the others and the experience was not good.
Sales is a different story. For my wife and I, we've found Mike Gonzalez at Cavender to be the most straight-forward. Toyota of Boerne is simply awful. They'll try to charge you for shipping when the car is 20 mi. down the road; not the other side of Houston like you're told and for amenities that are already on the vehicle.
