I just placed my order as well earlier today. It hasn't hit my CC yet, but of course it's a Saturday, so I don't usually see that stuff until Monday any way. If it doesn't go through I'm sure they'll call with the updated price. I'll let you know how it goes...
 
I would be very surprised if they did not honour the discount code.

I would be surprised, too. Like I said, they were ultra responsive with the UCAs I ordered.

Icon (direct), on the other hand, is *still* sitting on an order for some shift knobs I placed over a month ago. I keep getting the "they should be shipping today" mantra every third day I check-in with them. I've resorted to emailing them and calling them every other day now for a status check. I think starting on Monday it'll be every day...
 
UPDATE!

I called Metal Tech to find out what the deal was since they hadn't charged my card or contacted me in any way after the order (the complete opposite experience I had from when I ordered the UCAs from them). They gave me good new and bad news:

Good -- I secured the President's Day sale pricing, so I will end-up paying what I was quoted earlier in this thread.

Bad -- They completely ran out of stock of Icon stuff due to the sale. It'll be "three or four weeks" before they get more in to ship me my stuff.

I didn't ask for them to drop ship the stuff directly from Icon because I didn't want to confuse their process and I figure I can wait a couple of extra days if it's going to take three or four weeks anyway (they're offering free shipping anyway). But, I'm currently on week 6 of waiting for new shift knobs from Icon after I was promised them 5 weeks ago, so this "three or four weeks" is HIGHLY suspect at this point. :sobbing:
 
I'm in the same boat Mike so don't feel to bad though I haven't gotten my UCA's either :moping:

Also unlike you I haven't called but I am a little concerned at the lack of notification of these delays. I spent $1800 bucks with them it would be nice to get an email or something saying they are back ordered. Also never got a reply to my email about the extreme weather plating, guess I'll give em a call tomorrow will keep ya updated.

Just ask to speak to Brandon when you call. He seems to be the one that is all over the Internet orders. Sucks you haven't gotten your UCAs! They literally put mine in the mail the same day as the order.

I sold a bunch of gear and guns recently, then saw the current coupon code for an Icon stage 1 suspension and light racing UCA at $1,650 plus shipping. Code is (Icon-LR). It includes the extended travel front coil overs.

Shipping for me was about $105. I got the rear shock shin guards and swapped out the 2" Icon springs for the 1.5" Sway Away springs.

Total was $1,845. Should be here next week and will install the following weekend.

I could probably go rent a puller at a parts store, but I like tools, so I am looking at buying this OTC 6295 Front End Service Set:

I also need to pick up some 1/8"x1" Stainless steel cotter pins.

Alright you guys, that's enough!!! You're making me jealous. My system is still on back-order waiting for ICON to make the custom springs. :cry2::cry2::cry2:

It seems everything I order is on back-order. First the truck itself, then the Shrockworks bumper, then the ICONs and there are plenty of other miscellanea that I'm waiting for too.
 
Ah looks good! I have a lot less than you guys. So far I have one piggy-back res rear shock. Yep. Just one.

I have the second and the rear Icon springs on order though. Still need to order my front stuff. Also I'm not sure if it's necessarily a back order. Every time I place an order I am told that Icon has a 7-10 day build time for their shocks so I assumed they are building them to order?
 
Thank you for the business! We normally stock $40-50k worth of ICON only for Toyota's. (We do only Toyota's at Metal-tech 4x4) However when we do a big sale that inventory can drop fast, then we are at the mercy of ICON for delivery. This sale ICON slowed delivering since other ICON dealers complained we were selling to low. Why our prices on line are back up to where they are. (We have had words with ICON over this)

If you call us we will beat anyone's price. 800-839-0684. And we always have free shipping and NO SALES TAX on ICON. We will beat anyone's price on Light Racing too.

Metal-tech 4x4 also gives a FREE $40 Racetec spanner wrench with ANY ICON coil overs purchased. These wrenches are duel pin like the ICON's, but these also have a 3/8" wrench socket so you can get more leverage if needed. They cost more than the ICON wrenches but the socket point makes them very much worth it. Of course for our customers they end up being free. :)

I intentionally didn't order the Icon wrench just to see if it came with the coil overs and I wasn't surprised when I opened the box and it wasn't there. :(
However when I opened the box with the rear springs...joy! :thumb3:
