Best method for removal of fender flares on my 01?

Any suggestions before I tackle this? I need to take them off today so I can get them ready for paint as they are faded I just don't want to break anything

Are you talking about the Limited flares near the doors? They are being held in by clips... so you could insert one of those flat plastic tools and pry... but who is doing your paint? they should take care of that.

If it is not the limited, then there are 5-6 bolt/screws that line the inside of the flare.

I ended up getting it but I hate plastic clips but only broke 1 so I can live with that, I am doing the paint as I am putting my new sport hood on as well so just trying to take care of all the stuff that is fading or scratched.

What are you painting with? Are you going to clear coat as well? Also, what are you going to do about the broken clip?
