Best mod done for less than $250?

Looking for ideas on a mod or upgrade to do. Just curious on what others have done that was a great mod, upgrade, purchase you've wanted to do or have done that was around 250 or less. Sometimes the least expensive ones are the most gradifying. I would have to say my tundra brake upgrade was my most enjoyable and worth wild for about 300 bucks.

What's yours?

A good thing to do is just get a new head unit. Its a relatively inexpensive thing to but will give you interior a nice look, improve sound quality, and let you choose the music. I just installed the Kenwood DPX500BT in mine, it's last years model so I got a good deal and it comes with blue tooth.
 
Getting rid of the sagging rear for $169 by switching out the old 99 coils for some OME 906s to compliment my HD Billies.

My Tundra upgrade cost me $198 including Brembo rotors. I should have sprung for some SS lines at the same time.

Also installed head unit with aux and USB port which is a must for me. Haven't purchased a cooler yet, I replaced the radiator instead. Still considering running the cooler with the radiator as I may start pulling a trailer with it.

How are you liking the 906 coils? How do they ride?

In 4 years the 906s have performed well. I have had well over 400lbs in wire and other stuff in the back with little to no sag. I bought them when I was using my 4runner to tow my boat but now use my Tundra. No sag with the boat trailer attached, which was about a 100lb tongue weight.

They settled after about 500 miles about 3/4 of an inch.

The only drawback is that the ride for passengers in the back seat is a little harsher now. But less people in my 4runner = better MPGs.
 
It all depends on what you want. Some of the suggestions I read on hear sound like terrible mods for under $250 to me while they may sound like great ideas to someone else.
 
for me it was sliders... sure i dont get a thirll from them other thank knowing i dont have to worry about body damage or parking lot dings anymore...

I posted to get fresh ideas and what people liked most about modding their runners, not trying to find out what the best thing is for me. Not asking you to decide for me, just curious what people enjoyed within a certain value. No wrong answer here. Like you said, it depends on personal preference. What about yours?

Custom rola roof rack. After welding, custom mounts, paint and lights I think I'm right at that $250 mark. It might not be used much but the fact that it's done perfectly for me is a great feeling.
 
Depends on what you need. For me...

Protection : sliders $500
Coolness : sr5 flares Inc front mud flaps $250
Talk talk : cb radio $160
Tunes: after market deck $220
Deers : 99+ headlights $90
More cudholders! : 99+ center console $60
Ramers : arb front $450, rear swingout $250
Shiny : paint detail $130
Boat: rear diff mod $30
Cheap mod: plasti dip stuff
Kind of a waste of $$ : bb compo skids $500. ( don't wheel hard enough for the belly skid)
Just because : lotas lower control $90

Good point. I would recommend a set of Weathertech floor liners. They cover better than any floor mat and can be hosed out.

Also, synthetic fluids. This is a no brainer. It ends up being cheaper in the long run to use.

You read my mind! I was cleaning my runner out today and looking at the pathetic mats and considering getting new ones. I'll have to check those out. Agreed on synthetics.
