best mod for 100$?

I would spring for the scan gauge if I had the pennies. I hate how the Ultragauge looks like a GPS but it has some features the Scangauge doesn't have and it's cheaper. It's a toss up really.

i would get the ultra gauge i love mine, great to keep a eye on stuff like temp, since the toyota one either work very well or don't work at all.

I love my Ultragauge but you wont get tranny temps unless you get a scangauge and have a 99-02.

I've got a manual trans, not too worried about temp. Although my temperature gauge does seem to be high lately. I'm going for the ultra gauge thanks guys! Where'd you install yours t4r4life?

No reason not to go with the Ultragauge then. It comes with a Velcro strip or suction cup mount. I used the suction cup and its held for a year and a half without falling once. If you decide you don't want the suction cup I'll buy it from you.

If you have an android phone you could order an OBD bluetooth adapter and download the Torque app. It does everything the Ultragauge and Scangauge does and more but for around $30.

I have Rev on iPhone and would still rather have the UG or SG. The app kills battery from constant pinging of the ODB scanner and keeping a wifi or BT connection open. Plus it makes your phone useless to do other things like stream music or use as a GPS.
