Best rock sliders on a budget?

Just giving my input here. I don’t know about bolt slider so I’ll tell you about the sliders I had installed.

I bought the All Pro sliders for $310. I had them welded on by a mobile welder for $300. I probably paid “too much” for the welder, but I’m happy with the results. Strong, sturdy, and looks great.

Just pointing out that these are now listed at $509.15.

Quite a jump from $310 just 18 months ago.

For aestetic purposes mostly. Not looking for clearance or to do any serious off roading. I don't have a lift, nor intend on getting one. I don't like the look of completelty removing the running boards but mine are now an eye sore as they've been ran into far too many times now from other drivers.

I don't/can't weld so bolt on would be preferred. I do know a local welder/fabricator though so If welding is needed I can get it done if it makes financial sense. Any input it appreciated.

Why not just look for some bolt-on aftermarket step bars if you don't need sliders?

I'll never knock anyone for taking the "lockers before light bars" approach, and I love having sliders, but it sounds like you're going to spend a bunch more money on these than you really need to. Just some food for thought.

Nice! Was wondering if anyone sold sliders to fit the factory SR5 flares. Guess not.

4XInnovations might make them for you if you have the length determined.

You'll have to call and see if he will do a custom set.

Any strong opinions on whether to go angled or not? I like the angled look but wonder if you can step on them to get to your roof? Any opinions?

Mine are perfect for roof access. washing waxing, loading on the kayak/rod holders..

Just get quality..... remember you get what you pay for. I can't blame this on the manufacturer just on the place that did the prep work before spraying on the subpar coating.I thought i did my Homework.

A set of 5th gen take offs Rock sliders are around $300 used.
Since you are considering welding to frame the bolt pattern fitment does not matter?
Its more about the stock sliders length and lack of kick out. My 5th gen rock rails have 1/8" wall round tube and 1/4" thick U-shape brackets.
It seems the brackets would weld to frame as the base of the "U" bolts to frame of 5th gen. Also easy for a welder to move bracket position on the inside tube if repositioning needed.
