Its even cooler in person. Yes you would have to remove the grille guard for a body lift. I'm glad he did it, it looks even cooler without it.

Yeah the grille guard has to go if you lift the body
and despite John's opinion on the grille guard, it's probably gonna get fabbed up to re-fit it :fro:

hmm so would new suspension lift my truck as high as yours? or would I have to do a body lift? I like my guard though I don't wanna lose it lol.

I just love the look of those tires and I actually need them lol the tread on the ones I have now haven't been holding up esp during our little storm in socal. >_< and I've been wanting to get new shocks for the front and back, I'm still debating if I should get new coils to or just buy this?

nah my truck has a 2" body lift and 9-wrap LC coils (rare) so you may not get as high as me

Oooh yeah your gonna need some lift at least 2 1/2" to stuff a 33 in the wells for sure. Or a body lift.

what do you mean by regear? Is that easy to do myself or do I take that into a shop to get done?

Judging by your experience with this topic and the fact that it's 2WD, I'd recommend 31x10.50R15 and no lift.

regearing just changes your ratio to make it easier to turn that big of a tire, also I wouldn't attempt to regear unless you have a history on working with gears, just not something you want to screw up. I think you have 3.90's and that would really struggle to turn a 33" diameter tire. A 31" would be more appropriate if you want a jump in size.
And like LINY said you wont need a lift, at least i think, to run that size. Until your ready to invest money into a lift and a regear, I personally would stray from a 33" tire. But it is your truck and your entitled to do what you want.

here is mine with 31x10.5 15s with Firestone Destination A/T. they ride really nice and very quiet onroad. im also 2wd so i don't offroad. i think you mentioned your from socal. what part? im in az now for 2 years but lived near H.B. before moving out here. here a link to my post...
