Best way to trim mud flaps?

Don't want the gap. How can I trip them and have them look decently nice?

I trimmed my front, i can try to get a pic for ya, used a box cutter and cut till no rub

After I installed my OLW 2.5" Suspension Kit and threw some 285/75R17 Nitto TerraGrapplers I had a small section of rubbing where the corner of the tread would nick the mud flap at near full turn.

I tried to trim the mudflaps because I like them, unfortunetly no matter what I tried I ended up having to pretty much cut the entire mudflap in half and it just didn't look right.

Be interested to see if anyone managed to make theirs work as well, I really did like the way the mudflaps looked up front.

Are you talking about the front or the rear mud flaps?

For the front, I just cut them in half down the middle so you're left with the outer most edge. I don't have a pic of mine (I eventually just took mine off) but Tony LT1 posted the following picture:

For the rear, Brian aka Photog trimmed his this way to cover the gaping hole and clear the tires:

As S p a r k y mentioned you can use a box cutter to make the cut, however, i used some tin snips/heavy duty scissors to control my cutting.

I did the front and back with good old tin snips. I suggest pulling them to do a clean job of it.

I took em off and hit them with the dremel. I spent more time than I should have but it looks amazing now. I'll post up pics in the morning!

Well heres what I did, and in my opinion it looks 100 times better than not having anything there at all. it took me about 2 hours, but I wanted it to be perfect. Here they are:
