When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it would be about the possibility of Toyota abandoning body-on-frame SUVs and going to unibodies as Ford, Jeep, and Nissan are starting to do. If the trend keeps up, Toyota might be the "last man standing", which could be good for the sales of the 4Runner, FJ Cruiser, Land Cruiser, and Sequoia.
I, too, hope the Japanese don't have to face another earthquake. As difficult as last year's tragedy has been, those people have shown remarkable courage, solidarity, and resilience.

75% chance of a 7,last year's was a 9 but you still have to take things with a grain of salt especially if you live there since I don't see the public forming a mass exodus from Japan.
The same thing was predicted in the '80s for a massive quake in Southern California and now it's 30 years later and LA is still around depsite a few solid quakes in that time.
