Well, I tried posting what I thought was a well-worded post over on YT but it got deleted with the quickness!
Hey guys,
I've done quite a bit of searching both here and at T4R and I believe I answered my question, but wanted to check with the experts.
Truck:
'01 Sport with OEM Sport/Limited flares
Suspension:
ToyTec Ultimate Lift with OME 890 rear coils.
Wheels:
16x8.0 -25 offset (3.5" backspacing).
Tires:
Based on what I've read, I'm trying to stay away from Load Range Es, so I'm down to a few choices... I put my assessment underneath each tire - PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.
1. BFG All-Terrain T/A KO in 285/75R16
- Known good fitment
2. BFG All-Terrain T/A KO in 295/75R16
- Should fit based on feedback that I've received due to my lower backspacing/offset.
3. BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2s in 305/70R16
- Will rub without a body lift. In general, this tire would require modifications to the pinch weld(s) and fender flares. I didn't see anything specific as to whether or not the front and rear bumpers would rub.
I'd love to go with Tire #3, but not at the expense of hacking up my truck. I've done that enough with the fenders on my cars.
