I got mine fine today at 1.75/1. Looks great! I wonder if I can now add 285s with minor trimming to give me around 1 inch additional height.

I have heard of users on here running asymmetrical lifts and not needing to calibrate the radar / TSS.
Same with new Tundras and Tacomas it doesn’t cause an issue.

Just installed my 5100s with a 1.75" lift in front. The front and rear wheelwells are the same distance above the ground, and the front axle shafts are perfectly level at ride height. The radar cruise control works, and the vehicle handles just fine. Does anyone know why Toyota made the stock front ride height lower? I will guess that they were chasing gas mileage. The rear shocks came with instructions that were wrong, they show the washers in the opposite configuration that they need to be in.
Why did Toyota give it a slight rake? Maybe to avoid dragging its a&@ when you throw a bunch of weight in the cargo area or a heavy trailer on it?
You are saying that the problem is that the rear is set high for purposes of utility. The ground clearance is less than 9.6" because of the front sag. When I put the Bilsteins on the ground clearance is within spec and the front driveshafts are parallel with the ground. I think gas mileage was the driving factor for Toyota. Opinions are like noses, everyone has one and they all smell.
I'm saying it's reasonable to guess that the slight rake is so that the truck doesn't blind oncoming traffic when loaded to spec with either cargo or a trailer.
Gas mileage? You're right, we're both guessing. Not sure how stressed Toyota is in microns of gas mileage in their SUVs which are tracked differently, AND also not sure how much of a gas mileage gain we'd see from a marginal lowering of the front end.
Maybe they just think the rake looks bad a%$
Back to topic though: I really appreciate the info on the 5100s. When it comes time to replace in my Limited it'll be handy.
I lifted/leveled (1.75F/.75R) my 4Runner almost 3 years ago. My average fuel mileage since the lift is 18.6 mpg. The lifetime average is also 18.6 mpg. So for me, there was no noticeable difference in mpg. I’m pretty sure the factory rake is for the same reason most every truck has one, so you don’t end up nose high when you load up the back or hook up to a trailer.
