Bilstein 5100s and reverse rake

I'm having new Bilstein 5100s put in on all four corners with front shocks set to the 0.85" setting to presumably level out the truck.

But I've noticed in some pics here that it almost creates a reverse rake on the truck when the rear has no lift, especially when the truck is loaded for travel or camping.

Has that been the case or should I be alright?

With .85 you actually wont' get a true level but if you are looking to make sure you don't have a reverse rake with cargo that may be the way to go.

I have mine set at 1.75 and that creates the truest level without a trailer attached.

You might try SHOX.COM if you want a full set of four. Plus you'll get the correct ones for the 5th gen 4Runner, not the ones for the 4th gen. Thee is a difference! I don't know why the ones from Wheelers don't come with new cushions and washers (Bilstein packs them in the box), but if you get them there be aware they are extra.

I have mine set at 1.75 and there is a little reverse rake. And when I put a couple bikes on the back it definitely sags more. The stock springs aren't very stiff. I am currently having OME 895Es on the back and Toytec coilovers on the front to make up for this. Any rake, reverse or whatnot drives me nuts.

Bilstein 5100 24-196499 adjustable Front and 33-187174 rear

I just searched on autoanything they gave me part # 24-186711 for the adjustable fronts rather than 24-196499.

So I'm wondering why the different numbers. . .

*edit* Ok, the 24-186711 is non-adjustable. .

Explanation....

2003-2009 4Runner Part # is 24-186711 (Front)

2010+ 4Runner Part # is 24-196499 (Front)

Bilstein just recently put out a separate part # for the 2010+ models...before then, most sites listed the 24-186711 as 2003+. I couldn't tell you the difference between the 2, but myself along with probably most of the other guys with these currently installed have the old part #. Long story short...both will work.

Front set to 0.85, rear stock with Air Lift bags at 5 psi, looks close to level. If rear sags with load will bring up with Air Lifts.
