Bilstein 5100s seemed to go up a lot more than 2.5" with OEM springs

I am not worried about it, I was simply just trying to check if others who went up 2.5" in front actually gained more than that, and since I see a thread about a guy who went to the 1.75" mark and got about 2.5" of lift I know see it is normal, and I am not worried about what some people have to say about who did my install....
and we answered with a resounding NO unless it was installed wrong...

My only concern if it were my ride would be the risk factor IF something were to be installed incorrectly and the ramifications if I continued to drive it like that. I'm not saying it's installed incorrectly in your case, but if I got 3.5"+ out of something that was supposed to net me 2.5", I would be very concerned until I got a satisfactory answer. I wouldn't settle for just one other guy getting more than he bargained for. My bet is something is amiss. I can see it coming down 0.25" to 0.5" but not a complete inch or more.

Dude there's a reason that it's the 2.5" setting. There are ten billion 5100 threads and if you would search beyond yesterday you would find that most people have a lift on the 2.5" setting of... you guessed it... 2.5". It goes a bit higher initially but settles down after a few miles of driving.

Get these guys opinions, go back and search previous threads and then do what you want. Arguing does nothing and if your tech is so good then he should know the answer anyway.

Well it still has slight downward rake to her too from only a 1.5" daystar spacer in the rear I guess we installed that wrong too

if that is true then you measured wrong pre lift.... I ran a 1.5 spacer with th e2.5" setting and I had a slight reverse rake after a while.... so forget everything we said... it was probably installed right, you just don't know how to use a fuggin tape measure for shit:yo:

You can use the exact same reference points when measuring ride height before and after lifting your truck and still come up with different numbers than expected.

If you did not take your measurement with the truck in the same place each time, you're likely to get different measurements. Moreover, if you measured the truck, post lift, the second the wheels touched the ground, your measurements will be off a bit as well. You need to drive it around the block and then measure post lift numbers
