Actually, the Boss COs are Eibach springs and shocks. That is what I was told directly from Toytec.

I'm still trying to find the best way to avoid buying something that I have no idea what the ride quality will be once its installed....
The OEM suspension is OK but it's not great on my TEP.......
Would the 6112 glide over irregular road surfaces / road humps / bumps / pot holes / ruts etc without tossing you around? Not expecting it to be a trophy truck but the closest I can get there the better!
Would the 6112 be the best bet? :spy:

Test drive a TRD Pro. That will give you the closest approximation. TRD Pro's suspension is basically the same as the 6112 but can also be adjusted like the 5100 series, from what I've seen so far. My opinion... the 6112 will be softer than the stock TEP. I have not tested a TRD Pro to confirm.

sounds promising! I put 5125's on my pathfinder and it didn't seem to really ride that much better although the truck is 20 years old....
really want to try before I buy but its tough with these products since you really dont know what u are getting until you buy and install.

Really don't know if you can compare the 2 series....I think the performance is wayyyyyy different!

I have a few toyotas including an 03 4runner, 06 tundra and 06 tacoma here at the shop. Ive been working with Bilstein on the development of these shocks for some time now and wanted to chime in with some spy shots of the prototype units as well as let you know that so far these shocks have performed like much more expensive units do. With all the testing done the setup will be dialed in perfectly. They are a large improvement over 5100s, which are already night and day better than stock. These will be a hot shock in 2015. :rockon:

What is shown in the photo for the front is the BTS System, not the 6112's.

According to Bilstein, the 5100 or the 5160 Series w/ remote res are the best mates to the 6112 Series

EDIT: Let me correct my wording, I was addressing the question on the rear springs.
The TRD Pro Suspension utilizes the rear factory springs. I guess it depends on what you want to accomplish in the rear. You want standard rear height use the OEM, if you want more lift in rear...that you would have to see what fits your requirements.....

The TRD Pro Suspension uses Eibach 620's up front & The Bilstein 6112 is supposed to be a kit including Eibach 620 springs as well.
