How did it go SteadFAST 4Runner?
I dont want to say it was easy... I am not much of a mechanic... but the friend that helped me had all the know how and did 80% of the work. We got it all done front and back in under 5 hours.
I will post some photos when I have something worthy of showing... Thanks for all your help with the purchase and getting me the parts, you guys have excellent customer service.
Is it a 4Runner?? Lifted??? It's worthy [emoji41]
Ok, because I am still in Forum Jail for being a lurking noob i am forced to post this question here...
I recently lifted my 2016 Trail Premium (non-KDSS) with Bilstein 6112 and in the rear daystar coil spring spacers and Icon 2.0 shocks. .. I also added 1.25" SpiderTrax hubcentric wheel spacers.

I decided to have the clip on the 6112s to the 4th notch up rather than the middle one. The install went fairly smoothly, except we had coil spring compressors that couldnt get a big enough bite on the coil spring to compress... we used the lower control arm method instead.
So after it was installed I took it to the local Toyota Dealer for al alignment and they said that this was the best they could align my 4Runner...

So, what is everyone elses experience? Is my 4Runner beyond being able to get a good alignment now and he only hope is new Upper Control Arms?
What you are likely to find is at 2" of lift or less (3rd or middle clip) the alignment can get into spec with stock UCA's with a good alignment tech. At 2.5" it takes a very very good tech as it is at the absolute limit of the stock UCA's. People have done it, but most at that height either go with new UCA's, or switch within a period of time to increase the caster even if within spec to get more reliable handling on highway.
Yea, thats what I was thinking... that it could technically be done by someone who is adept at getting alignments done on lifted vehicles. Supposedly the mechanic that did mine was the MASTER mechanic at the toyota dealer... so maybe he isnt that good. I might have to go to another dealer. Esp that it pulls to the right slightly.

Now the next question... does anyone know of a really good alignment specialist in Phoenix?
What's the difference between the TRD 5100's and these 6112/5160's??
What is a TRD 5100?![]()
The Bilstien shocks on a TRD
When I got mine installed I went to a local alignment shop that specializes in everything, they install stuff for race cars to lifted 4x4s. Toyota dealer/tech may not have the knowledge/know how/experience to get it as best they can with an aftermarket set up maybe?
Here's my alignment sheet with 6112's at the 3rd clip, and 5160's + ICON 2 inch springs in the back:
