Bilstein's website confirms that these are the correct part numbers for the 4th gen 4Runner:

Front height adjustable 5100: F4-BE5-C475-H0
Rear 5100: F4-BE5-E703-H0

I did a little google shopping, and ordered from shockwarehouse.com:

front shocks: $98 each
rear shocks: $76 each

Just in case they run out since a lot of people are looking for these, I got mine from www.shockwarehouse.com for $318 shipped with discount code FIVE about a week ago. They were $332 before the coupon there. Ordered Sunday night, received them Thursday morning.

Anyone have any pictures? Do you just use the stock springs? How would these compare to Radflo C/O's? What is the ride like compared to stock Sport susp.?

I had my 5100's installed today. Wow. Huge difference. A quality shock. The whole truck feels more sure-footed.

I used the 1.75", third slot up position. The back is about 0.5" higher than the front. It looks great. The airlift kit I'm putting in later in the week will keep the sag issues down when I'm using my hitch mounted cargo carrier and kayak.

No more rubbing with my 265 70 R17 BFG AT KOs.

I needed an alignment. I didn't want to pay the extra cash, but it's worth it.

If your on the fence about these shocks/leveling "kit". Do it. Great improvement all the way around.

I finally installed mine this weekend. I used the front setting at 1 notch up (the .85" setting) from the lowest.

Highly recommend using ratcheting wrenches for the top nuts on the shocks; you'll need a 19mm for the front, and 17mm for the rear. Harbor Freight has these for very cheap ($9 for the set). Also, make sure you install the coil spring seats the correct way up (see instructions); if you reverse them, you get a huge amount of lift.

The ride is much improved: tighter handling, firmer, but not harsh. I also have a set of urethane swaybar bushings (front & rear), which helped a little bit.

The factory rake is also visibly improved: the front end is a bit higher, but there is still some rake to the vehicle. At stock height, the front end looked like it was nearly sitting on the tire, while the rear had 2-3" of clearance -- looked strange to me.

I think this was a modification/upgrade that was well worth it.

I've got them on my Tacoma, set at stock because I don't need anymore lift. They're ok. Unless you're coming from a totally blown shock I don't see a big difference. It's a decent shock and the front lift is a pretty handy feature. Well worth the money if you're looking to level out and avoid spacers.

Bumping an old thread.

Anyone using the Bilstein setup? I've liked the ride & handling I've gotten out of Bilstein shocks on other 4x4s, and the 4th gen 4R could use a small leveling "lift" to the front end (1" seems good to me).

I put them on my 5G, fronts set at .85. Reduced the nose dive, firmed up the ride just right, and nearly leveled the front. Pleased.

I got mine from Suspension Connection, it was the best price I could find for my 4th Gen. It said backordered when I placed the order but I still got them in less than 2 weeks.

On another note, I run them on the lowest / stock setting with FJ coils and a spacer. I know I can remove the spacer and use the highest setting but I figured that my spacers are good for 3" compared to 2.5" otherwise...
