We are neighbors (not literally) :hello:
I've been away from here after owning 2 FJs and a Tacoma, but I'm finally back in a 4runner as of yesterday.
Oh nice! I’m actually in Prairie Village, but am moving to south OP towards the end of the year when our new house is done being built.
I’m actually doing my lift install this weekend, but curious as to what shops you’ve had experience with in the area that did good work.

I still can't make up my mind on what to pair my new TRD Bilstein kit with for a bit more lift.
Option 1: Toytec 2" TRD PRO kit
Option 2: Toytec 1" Spring Perch Spacer + 1" Rear Eibach Springs
Option 3: Toytec 1" Spring Perch Spacer + 1.5" SAW Rear Springs
Ive always heard anything over a 2.5" front lift requires new UCA but the TRD PRO guys are running Option 1 above which, since they start 1" higher in front from factory, it would give ME (2016 TEP) a 3" lift from my current suspension in the front. Would I need UCAs? I assume not since TRDP run it without issue, right?
Re: Option 3, Ive also read the SAW springs lift closer to 2". Id REALLY like to find a TRUE 1.5" rear spring, if possible. I realize Im kinda splitting hairs here, but it's what I do.

Keep in mind the Toytec trd Pro/Baja 1” spacer 1" Front Lift for TRD BAJA and Pro Edition Tacoma & 4Runner
will give you 1” of lift. ( the actual thickness of this spacer is ~.5”) Combine that with your FJ kit lift (1”) and you’ll get ~2” total lift up front. More than likely you’ll be able to get enough caster (2.5-3.5+) while keeping your stock uca’s.
For the rear coils, maybe consider the wheelers T-13 which will give you 1-1.5” lift for the rear while slightly stiffening up the rear.....should be a good match with the slightly stiffer front trd 6112’s/600lb eibach coils.
I have Bilstein 5100’s and the T-13 rear coils. My front coils are 2883 ome 590lb coils. I did install SPC uca’s because my lift was 2.5” and I have slightly larger diameter tires and wider/less backspace Wheels. I wanted my caster on the high side (4.1)with this combo.
I had a 2nd gen Tacoma for 9 years that was lifted and could only get 1.5 caster with stock uca’s. It tended to “wander” ( albeit slightly) at highway speeds. I got used to the slight steering corrections at highway speeds but it was something that bothered me at times (I am a tad OCD).
I didn’t want to chance having to deal with this on my 4runner so since I was at the 2.5” of lift ,I installed the uca’s so I could get the caster #’s I wanted. I’ve had this installed for ~6000 miles and so far, it works great.
With all that said, every lifted 4runner is slightly different in that even at the same amount of lift (usually above 2”), some may be able to get the alignment where they like it and the next guy might not be able to without different ucas. Some are totally fine with lower caster #s while others are not. It can be very subjective in how steering “feels”.
****At 3” of lift, I would definitely get UCA’s!

Yea, I forgot to mention I knew the Toytec 1" perch spacer = 2" of lift once I swap in the TRD Bilstein kit. Im good with that in the front. Just trying to iron out the rear.
Its kinda dumb that I can't buy the perch spacer and the T13 coil from the same vendor. Wheeler's has the T13 obviously, and some Toytec parts, but not the TRD perch spacer. Toytec has the spacer but no Wheeler's products.

Any more on road opinions from those who've installed? I really want this to nearly eliminate nose dive. Any feedback?
So I can just order from 1 place Im thinking of going with the toytec 1/2" top plate spacer (Item #: TT TOP1-T) and the T13 rear coils.
right hand/left hand leveling maybe add the wheelers front 1/4" single strut spacer WHE TPS14
rear: OME rear trim packer OME 150PR10
I will install next week and report on how this works out.

So I just had a really interesting conversation with a Bilstein tech about this. He said while the aftermarket and OEM 6112/5160 setups LOOK the same, they have nearly no shared parts and are essentially entirely different setups. He mentioned he cannot divulge any specifics about the TRD piece of kit but did state that the TRD version should have a slightly firmer ride than the aftermarket version. He said they built the aftermarket version catered towards the true off-road enthusiast who is looking for buttery-smooth articulation and control under slow maneuvers. The aftermarket team can hone in on a smaller demographic than the one that the TRD version would need to appeal to, which is why the TRD version is more on-road friendly than it's aftermarket counterpoint. Again, Im not sure to what degree the above rings true, but it does make sense.
I told him I wanted to help eliminate nose dive and he said that really isnt a goal of theirs in development of their off-road kits but would be more of an unintended consequence of an overall upgraded suspension.

Post 34 will show that Wheelers 3/4 replacement coil isolator used on a trd tx baja which also is a trd 6112 setup.

Cool.... good find...way less expensive than the aluminum Toytec perch spacers. I didn’t realize these poly spacers (fit on top of coil) were large enough diameter to fit the “stock size” coil as well as the larger 3” trd “eibach” coils.

I sent Wheeler's a note asking for confirmation if that fits over the TRD Bilstein shock body. That'd be nice if it does. Gives just a bit more lift than the Toytec perch spacer and is a hell of a lot cheaper.

These don't go over the body of the shocks so he will say no, they replace the rubber stock isolator that goes between the top hat and the coilover springs. This will be my temporary solution until Dobinson releases our line of springs.

Evidently, Some kit’s were received by customers with one of the 6112s having a TRD Pro 4runner coil and the other with a TRD Pro Tacoma coil. It was also stated that both 6112s in those mismatched kits had the same part number.... interesting!

It seems like some are concerned with the different specs for the front shocks, how different can they be? I would guess it is based on weight and weight split from front to rear between an FJ and the 4Runner. The best I could figure out is that the TRD shocks are about $500, it said that was for a left front. That seems awfully steep for a shock.

So before I pull the trigger, is there ANY reason I should get the Toytec Spring perch in lieu of this part from Wheeler's? At a $120 savings between the two, the reason will have to be pretty damn good if one even exists.
