Bilsten 5100 w/ Top Spacers

Can I add a top spacer to my front 5100s set at 2.5 already? Or do I need to get springs. My concern is ride quality.

You can add a 1/4" or a 3/8" thick top-spacer, but no more than that. Don't want to exceed 3" of lift max.

I could be wrong, but if you want to keep the KDSS I think you're about as tall as you can go. Doesn't that system start having problems at anything over 3"?

I want to be at 3 inches. I just wanted to confirm this would be okay, since I've read spacers and bilsteins set to 2.5 might not be acceptable. At least that's what I thought I read lol

Well the above picture was kind of meant in jest. I was installing a set of skids and when I set it down on the jack stands the front wheels JUST touched the ground, so I figure that's as tall as the 5100's will go. In my case I installed a pair of OME 885 2" springs to offset the weight of the bumper and winch. When I did this I had them reset the 5100's to 0. Have you thought about maybe adding a pair of 2" springs and setting the shocks at 0.85"? That would put you just below 3" while not using spacers.
