Bin Laden finally dead!!!!

Bush was also a sucky ass clown president along with the republican party becoming so corrupt had a hand in Obama winning the election since people tired of Republican arrogance in office and then there was the scandals which further derailed their party. Bush also holds the noteriety of having the worst approval rating in history. I think Bush's problem was he listened to much to Cheney and Rumsfeld who also had a hand in things degrading over the decade.

Comparing a moonwalk to a deadly military mission which risked alot of lives is a stretch. Obama had to make a decision which could have failed and if it had and US soldiers died,no Bin Laden found and ended up in a major coflict with Pakistan then this forum would be blaming Obama for eveything up and down and sideways so what he did was a gutsy call period.

You're joking right? Both Truman and Nixon had lower approval ratings than Bush, and like Thai said Obama was heading the same way. This announcement will probably improve his ratings though.

It's funny how everybody was mad at Bush for starting the war, but now that Bin Laden has been eliminated Obama gets all the credit...for something he had very little control over.

Clinton had a marriage problem and something that had little bearing on our economy.

We also forget that the US helped create and fund Bin Laden's movement way back when so we really only killed our own monster.

I still don't see where Obama is getting all the credit. It's people's hatred of the president that is bliding them to facts so let's discuss this as rational people instead of making widespread assumptions. Obama still risked his presidency with his desicion.

The trend to blame the previous administration doesn't end so yes,it's easy to blame Bush as it was easy to blame Clinton for things that happened when he was out of office but at least when he was in there the country was stable for the most part and we were avoiding major conflicts and it's the last time I remember this country being united for the most part, now we've become pretty hateful and against fellow americans just because they tow a different party line and I don't think it's ever been this bad in my adult life as it is right now and it's pretty depressing.

If Obama is going to lose office then the Republicans better fix their train wreck of a party and people better get out and vote but from where I see it I'm betting we get 4 more years of Obama so bring this thread up in late '12 and let me know if I'm wrong.

My critiques don't/shouldn't suggest Bush was a winner, just that the excuse that Obama sucks because Bush did is a sad and tired one.

Plus Obama hasn't paid my mortgage or filled up my tank yet, which leaves me a little salty.

RonM, come on man, you're saying that during the Clinton years, there was no debate among Republicans and Democrats and that everyone was happy with each other?! Wake up, you're dreaming again!

Actually, many point the finger at Clinton (as much as they do at Bush) for a lot of this economic mess...so, he ain't a saint! In fact, during his years, he focked up badly on more than a few military campaigns! Who the hell do you think was at fault for the catastrophe in Blackhawk Down movie? Trust me, no SEALs like Clinton for what he did to them during his term.

Obamanation are equally blinded to his faults...including you, RonM. So, before pointing fingers, you may want to look in the mirror. For me, as i have said before, i don't like Obama, but this Osama assasination got me to respect him more. RonM, if you talk the talk and walk the walk with what you write, then you should realize that Obama has clear flaws...in fact, with more and more experience, he is not that far from Bush and where he was with his war policy. Think about that....

So, remind me, why are we involve in Libya?

I didn't say anybody was perfect and Clinton,Bush SR. and Reagan all contributed to our current economic woes but at least during the '90s we weren't in war effort that has dragged on like Iraq has and the economy was still fairly stable with the housing market, gas prices, etc. and I saw more in my pocket during those years but it all caught up to us. I guess I'm glad in my adult life there was at least one decade that still seemed liveable and that might be the only one in my life but hopefully not.

It was liveable because people were cheating at that time...and like you said, it has caught up to us. So, to blame it all on ONE person (as you have done) is wrong. And i agree with you that Obama is not all that bad...and like i said earlier, i am quite impress with his handling of Osama's assasination.

BTW, RonM, please don't take what i wrote personally. We know each other via net for a long time (internet time that is). I must admit that what i wrote in the previous thread was kinda personally attacking you. Sorry. You know me...i get a little passionate at times! :D
