Black Aries Bull Bar on 5th Gen?

So, I've searched high and low and had no luck finding any good shots of a 5th Gen with a black Aries Bull Bar on it. I'm considering picking one up but I'm not convinced it will look good on my silver limited. Is anyone running one on their 5th Gen of which they can share a photo, by any chance?

Any reference photos would be greatly appreciated.

There's someone on the board here that has a silver runner with a black Steelcraft bullbar.

I'm getting the same one eventually. I looked at a few different ones, including the aries, and decided that when I buy it will be the Steelcraft, as that was the only one that mounts in 4 places, rather than all the others I looked at that are just held on with 1 mount on ea side.

Can these handle any sort of actual impact, or are they more like parking lot protection? Looks to me like it could just bend directly back into the vehicle if impacted. Then again, I know nothing about these types of bars and have been curious about them.

They are actually more entertaining than that, sadly...

My experience from observing other trail rigs with bull bars is that they offer zero protection. Unfortunately, they do add reduced clearance, ineffective armor and mounting points for lights that aren't designed to take an impact....

Bull bars have no place on a vehicle that will be driven on even moderate off-road trails.

To echo what [MENTION=96409]Canazes9[/MENTION] stated: they aren't beefy at all. They will bend and dent less easily than the plastic bumper, but much more easily than an aftermarket steel bumper or light bar.

Ok thanks, that's what I thought. I was kinda hoping it was reinforced in some way. Back when I was on Mud all the time, they called things like this "damage multipliers" because they would just end up pushing back into the vehicle causing extra damage.

Completely subjective and opinionated comment coming...

They are ugly big bulbous low hanging knee breakers intended to please some aesthetic itch of which I am not quite sure... Of course that is just my opinion and an opinion that matters only to me. I give this opinion simply because that shape does nothing what-so-ever to compliment the front end of a nicely designed truck let alone provide any sort of protection.

LOL The reduced clearance looks to be pretty dramatic, not to mention it looks like it drops about 10 degrees off your approach angle.
