Black bolts on white wheel wells.

Has anyone done any mods such as a plastic strip to cover up these bolts? I hate to be picky but they sure stick out on my white T4R. Maybe I'll paint'em white...

why not just paint them white or matching blizzard color, I think that would look nice.

I swear, one day I'm going to post a photo of my paint. About 3 sq mm of paint is left on my front bumper (rest is natural grey plastic), and about 25-40% of the sides of my 4runner are white marks from tree branches. No rust, though :whoo:

Yes, thanks, OEM trail edition flares. I have seen a few super whites (2013's) that have black trim, very "stormtrooper" looking

Seriously, you can see all that from his avatar? His fender flare is like 10 pixels by 2 pixels in size. You sure do pay attention to details, lol.

FYI, not sure if you're going to be able to simply swap on TE black flares onto the 2014s, the molding by the rocker might not line up because I think the shapes are very slightly different. You might have better luck painting your current flares black instead

You are probably correct but I would think that you can get these non-color matched new?

Oh okay, I see what you meant...but would unpainted trim come in that textured black we have on our TEs? I always figured it would just be smooth unpainted ABS plastic or something, not sure though :noidea:

Again you may be right. Funny I just spent a few minutes scouring the interwebz and I can't find any listed for 2014 yet, anywhere, the newest I could find was 2013.

The TE parts are unpainted, textured, ABS plastic. I had them smoothed and body color painted before installing on my limited. the front fender flares do not play nice with the limited rocker panels and you'll also want to get the integrated mud flap. Otherwise the bottom looks chopped off.

I'm guessing that the same is likely true for the 2014 models
