Blacked out Headlights Complete!

So i met up with gaterose and he mastered my headlights and fogs for me. It took a little TLC but they turned out great. I used a Mothers headlight restoration kit and it is still a little hazy so im sorry for glare. Does anybody know of a good headlight restoration kit? I wanna try something else to see if it will help. Tell me what you think

Looks really good! On the headlights, 3M makes a kit where you are actually polishing the light with super fine sand paper then polishing it. I have looked at it a couple of times, but never pulled the trigger on it.

I bought the 3M kit for my 2001 F150 and it worked great. The trick is to take the headlight housing off the truck so you can get all around the corners without worring about the paint. Started with them on the truck and quickly realized they needed to come out.

The kit has 3 levels of superfine sandpaper followed by a foam polishing wheel you put in a drill. I was skeptical but have to say it came out nice.

gaterose was the fog done the same way as the headlights? ive done my headlight but wasnt sure about doin the fogs the same way i dont want to mess them up

Yep the fog and turn signal housings are the same as the headlight, just pull em out, bake, open, paint, close, bake, and reinstall.

Same here, I was wondering on the fogs, so looks like i will do that and go ahead and get the matching tails as well. I guess i will VHT night shade the lower red markers in rear bumper.

Anyone have any other ideas on the red markers in rear bumper? I have seen lights installed in them. Just curious of other ideas.

Thanks man, and yeah that Mothers had 3 different sand paper grits that you used and then it was a polisher, i think i might just keep polishing the headlights cause i mean i might not have done it enough, or i might just do it all over again. Decisions decisions.:crybaby:

wet sand with 1000, then 2000 then finish 3000, then buff with high speed buff atleast more than 2500 rpm with some plastic x or plastic scratch remover, then seal with a good uv protectant, wolfgang stuff is good, but i use blue magic from orileys.
