Removing?

I've been looking around and I see lots of posts about putting this kit on, but has anyone tried to take it off (especially trying to keep it reusable)?
I did a little plasti-dip job and then installed, but was impatient and did it too soon after the last coating. I noticed later at work there was a big blemish.
But they are stuck on so well I'm worried I'm going to rip the actual factory lettering off trying to remove it...

Not a fan of plasti-dip...and I certainly didn't want to bend over for the overlay kit, so I just went the spray-paint route. I've found many times that with good materials, proper preparation and patience, you will yield good results. I spent $28 on a can of Rustoleum Satin Black Paint/Primer, a can of Rustoleum Flat Clear Topcoat, 1" 3M double sided tape, and 800 grit sandpaper.

My process:
First - tape off the lettering on top/bottom and wherever else might be helpful. I also took a thin sharpie and marked where the edge of each letter was (on the tape) to ensure proper realignment. I used fishing line to remove the emblems. Really not difficult at all. My only tip here is to wear gloves, and be careful when removing the large Toyota emblem, as there are two dowel pins that locate the piece that are easily broken off. The letters don't have these, so no worries there. I then removed as much of the old adhesive off the back of the letters as possible, and applied the new double sided tape. Tip - use a break-away blade so you can keep a sharp tip, and cut inward, at an angle so nothing will show around the edges. After wetsanding (lightly) all the pieces, I applied 6 light coats of the black (5 minutes in between each coat), and then 2 coats of the clear. I set them up on small spacers (used for tiling) to make sure they didn't get stuck and to ensure 100% coverage. I found it easiest to peal/roll the old residue off the rear garnish while it was cold (not heated up), and used Goo-Be-Gone to finish it off (no discoloring, which I was slightly worried about). Easy Peasy. Great Results.

Nicely done! I am a little too nervous to do that to a week old truck, but I am sure as the AZ pinstripping starts to take its toll I will be ready for anything!
 
Completed my blackout of the front and rear emblems with Plasti Dip. Didn't think about the keyhole in the rear and had to do to some careful digging!

SR5 Emblems peeled when I tried to remove the excess...

If anyone has a the black "SR5" overlays from their kit that they aren't using and would be willing to ship to Canada, please let me know!

I missed this... but *think* i still have the sr5 covers laying around if you wanted (2) sets. Also have the front Toyota logo cover too... I know where that is.
 
2017 Toyota 4Runner Matte Black Out Emblem Overlay

Hi,

I'm trying to find Toyota 4Runner Matte Black Out Overlay
kit for a 2017 TRD Pro.

I have been searching for a while with no luck! Any suggestions?
 
Has anyone taken these through a carwash? Just applied them and feel like they aren't solid enough...don't want to lose $90 the first time I wash my 4runner...
 
I bought the SR5 overlays, easy peasy, no derp overspray, tape, etc. Took 5 minutes and they are OEM from SE Toyota.

Ready to buy the black out emblem kit for my TRD PRO. Any difference between the Nox Lux kit and the Factory Toyota kit. Looks like the Toyota one is $10 cheaper on amazon. Also do they make one for the TRD PRO. Thanks in advance.
