Yeah it is definitely badass, I love it. It does give a bit of wind noise, but that is expect and between my tires, exhaust and that- who cares?
How are you liking the other accessories for the rack? All I currently have is the hi-lift mount.

wind noise?! yeah ive been used to that for years now it almost seems normal!!
i love the other accessories, it all looks so slick together, i actuall may sell the tire hold down once i figure out what im gonna do about a rear bumper, im leaning towards the cbi so we'll see, but i kinda like it up top too

awesome looking truck man! i got a question, the front light bar, on their site it only lists it for the 06-09's. do you know if it works on the 03-05's as well? i only ask because you said you were the test vehicle for it, so maybe you have a little more info on it. also is that the factory skid plate for the tacoma, or is that a 4runner part?

I actually have no idea, I do not know the front bumper differences well enough to know if it would fit or not. I would try shooting Defiant an email to see if they have any further information. I know some guys were inquiring about this in the past, but am not sure if something ended up buying one and trying it or not.

Can you post some pictures of how you mounted the rack to the roof? Ive scanned through the post but cant quite see what you did for the mount. Also how far forward would the rack have come if you didnt add the light bar attachment? Ive been wanting to get one but want one but am not sure i want the wind noise and the height with it being on the factory rails.

I have the same rack and the rack mounts directly into the factory holes. You have to remove the factory rack, and the bajarack then fits perfectly into the holes that the factory rack sat in. (Installation is a breeze)
The rack goes a little less than halfway across the sunroof without the light bar. (I can still open my sunroof)
I have very mininal road noise, and the height is about 7.5in from the roof to the top of the rack.

Adams06 is correct, the rack mounts directly into the points where the factory rack mounts. Bajarack also has two other racks available for our 4Runner, the Mule and Megamule. They look similar but utilize the factory rack as a mounting point.
Good to know that the sunroof can still open. I do not have a sunroof but a friend of mine was thinking of getting a Bajarack and was curious if he would still be able to use his sunroof.
Also, if you add the light cage and lights, you will get quite a bit of wind noise. I have my lights wired to quick disconnects so I can pull the entire thing off in just a few minutes (although I am honestly too lazy too

I took it off when I did my body lift. It doesn't line up after the BL and I did not feeling like trying to fab anything up.
I will be ordering a bumper soon, so I should have a new point to mount my lights when it arrives.
Here are some crappy pics with my bajarack with 540's on it. Blair your right about the increase of windnoise with the lights. But I love my bajarack! And sick 4runner Blair, it looks awesome!!!

what is the Reinforced front diff backet? I take mine on really tight trails between a lot of trees, nothing open like in Cali. I have only dropped down on a few rocks and do a lot of mud (AL mud is a clay mud mix, really slick and sticks to everything haha) so is this a good mod for me? Also what is the plastic cutting board stuff you are putting all over the bottom?

The diff bracket is made by a member on 120, if you wheel you truck hard (it seems like more slow/technical trails) you can break it. There have been about 4-5 occurrences. Basically the bracket breaks, the entire front diff swings up, puts a hole in the oil pan and breaks both front axels while it is at it.
Some guys used to run HDPE skids, before aftermarket ones came out. After more research, it is better to just get something custom made, or some Budbuilts
I should be ordering one eventually. I have had a few unexpected costs on my truck, but hopefully sooner rather than later will be getting one.
