Blank head unit?

So I got in the truck today and went to change the channel and the head unit went blank? It was still on but I couldn't change the channel or power it off. It seems like something is loose. It also happened to me later in the afternoon. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm 600 miles past warranty work as well...figures it happens now. Help!

I've had it happen once. Sounds like the same scenario. I had just turned on the truck, radio was on, display was blank, buttons didn't work, could not turn it off.
I think it was just a glitch that may have had something to do with being paired to my phone. Do you stream music or use you phone via Bluetooth?

Yeah, it happens occasionally. I just turn the radio off then back on.

Take it to the dealership and have them look it over, we've had head units through out the years do this from time to time (even on brand new vehicles.) Usually its covered under warranty and we put a new or remann'd (basically Toyota ships them to whoever makes them and has them rebuild the units, so many "new" are just remann'd) unit in the vehicle.
